Anything Goes

Good morning everyone. Beautiful days at the moment and I really can't wait to start going swimming. In fact last year at this time I had already gone once, so I'm hoping to go next Sunday. Good news btw.... finally we concluded the new house plans and so now the waiting goes on again for the approval to come out so we can start the works. Well, at least we did a step now.

Anyway, it's Wednesday today and so it's a new challenge at Crafting by Design and it's time for the monthly ANYTHING GOES challenge today.

For my card I am using an image from one of our sponsors, Bugaboo Stamps as this month we have two sponsors. The cute image is Critter Balloons Elephant and I colored it with my promarkers.

Some embossing today, and die cuts of course and fun ribbon to finish it off.

A Wedding Card

A Public Holiday today yay :) and we have a family wedding, so I thought to share the card I made for the happy couple. For a change I am doing a totally different card than my usual ones, so no coloring, no digi images and instead recycling.

In fact the bride and groom image and the background are recycled from two shop bought cards which my friends give me to recycle. I was really pleased to have been able to match both and of course using up some of the cards as I got loads of them! 

I then added some ribbon to hide a join of the back card and finished it off with the veil, gems, peel offs and a sentiment.

I think it came out quite nice and really hope they loved it.

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

Hello, it's Wednesday and today I have an appointment at the hospital because I've been having great pains in my back and shoulder.  I've been going to the physio too but I wasn't having any improvements so I'm going there now hopefully this will help! Wish me luck :)  ... The Italians left yesterday morning, and thankfully everything was fine .. so I was really happy and so relieved :)

Anyway, today it's time for a new challenge at

It's still too early for Christmas, but we at are having just that :)
Well, not really lol , but that is the theme for our new challenge that started today

For my card we got to use  an image from our sponsor Drawn By Krista and I chose this sweet penguin. I colored it with my promarkers and cut it up to mount it on some embossed card. More die cuts and of course some fun DP.

Not being in a very crafty mood, I think it turned out quite ok :)

Anything Goes

Good afternoon everyone. Hope you are having a lovely weekend doing lots of crafting. Me unfortunately haven't been much in a crafty mood lately. Been very busy and things not really so  good, which of course takes away all the motivation to craft!  We still haven't concluded the house plans and the Italian guests we have at the moment are not very nice :( .. They were smoking in the apartment, even though it's against the rules, which triggered the fire alarm late at night, and I also noticed the electric cooker burned when I went to switch off the alarm. They even had the cheek to insist they weren't smoking, even though I saw a stubbed cigarette in one of my ceramic decorations! :(  They are still there unfortunately, as they leave on Tuesday, so I'm counting the day.

Anyway, got my DT card today for the new challenge at

For my card I am using this gorgeous image, A Gentle Touch, from our sponsor Crafty Sentiments, and I colored it with my promarkers. I added some nice ribbon, two flowers and two heart embellishments, die cuts and punched border and corner as well. Really love how it turned out.

Anything Goes - April

Hello everyone. Wow I just cant believe we're in April already .. time is flying by so quickly!! We still haven't concluded the new house plans ufff .. our architect is taking sooo long and so I'm very very disappointed and getting really frustrated :(  I just want to start and move in :(  Hopefully hopefully next week, for our third appointment we will conclude. Fingers crossed xx .. 

Some more news :) Will be hosting our first guests for this year next Saturday in our rental home, they are from Germany, then the week after we will host our second guests, this time from Italy, so I'm very excited. Still have a few days available in April if anyone is interested, which days I have put down in price too. In those days there is the Malta Annual Fireworks festival and the Green Festival going on here in Malta, so many good reasons to have a short break .... plus of course the gorgeous sunny Spring weather :) Check it out here please ... Happy Easter

Hello everyone. Finally we got our appointment on Monday with the architect to plan the changes we want to do for our new house yay yay :) He is such a busy man, we waited so much for this appointment and I called and called his secretary everyday!! He didn't do the changes as we wanted them, so next week we have another appointment but we are hoping that we will finalize the plans and get started... I can't wait .. it's been already too long :(

Anyway, it's a new challenge today at

I chose this cute image Miss Ribbons Chick kindly given to us by our sponsor, Sami Stamps and I colored her with my promarkers using some bright yellow and pink color... very quick but so cute. 

 For the background I chose some lovely pastel colored DP and then finished it off with some flowers, pearls, die cuts and beautiful ribbon.
