Christmas Trees

It is a really nice sunny day today, so different than yesterday when it was raining ..  I really felt like going out this morning, so off I went to Rabat for the Sunday market and then walked it to Mdina. Was really nice, so many tourists. Pity my boys didn't want to join me and hubby wanted to wash the cars and cook the Sunday lunch, it would have been much nicer.. we could have stayed out for lunch as well.

Anyway, this is a Christmas card that I was really inspired to do after I saw this week's last challenge at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long.

At first I had thought to emboss the background but then, wanting to use my new Marianne Creatables Christmas tree die that I had got from Lothian Crafts, I realised I wasn't going to do any stamping, so I stamped the background with some clear stamps that I had, and also embossed them with clear embossing powder as well.

Didn't make it as quick as if I had done embossing, but I really loved how it turned out. I also inked the trees with green ink, then added lots of glitter, and to finish them off added some silver die cuts for ornaments which I had saved after die-cutting some snowflakes with my Nestabilitis dies.. yay :)

This is the photo which inspired me from the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long Challenge

... and I found some other challenges too that fit my card.
