Surprise!

The weather is still so hot and sunny here ... we've been going out nearly every day lately. Needless to say,  this is really not crafty weather and again I haven't been able to make a card today, but I just remembered about one I had made for a blogger friend for her birthday and did not post as I did not want her to see it... so here it is now.

I hadn't known it was her birthday and so this really was a very quick card, but she loved it still and I was so happy to get her comments about it and that I managed to give her a surprise as I wanted  :) 

The image is from Whimsie Doodles, I coloured it with my promarkers, papers and everything from my stash.

A Circus Baby Lion

Did I tell you what I won last week ???? ...  :) No I didn't.... ... but that's because I wanted to SHOW and TELL :)  

Woo hoo... yes I was one of the lucky winners at the Sweet Stampin Challenge last week, with my StampFairy card and won a lovely gift voucher from Whimsie Doodles .. was so excited when I found out ....  and this is a card I made with one of the digis I chose. ......... can't wait to use the other ones.

I coloured my new stamp with my promarkers, layered it on die cuts, some punched stars today, and banners as well... I did the scalloped one with my scalloped scissors and I cut the other one with my simple scissors. 

This is the colour combo that I followed...

Thank You Card

I have just finished this thank you card that is going to one of my kids' teacher... I'm actually doing two, but still haven't decided on how to do the other one and I think I'll end up doing it the same!!! Not much fun though doing the same two cards.. but I like this stamp and then to match this stamp I only got these papers with strawberries.



The lace punch is a Martha Stewart one, the flower punches, which are NEW :)).. are Mc Gill ones and the strawberry brads are from Doodlebug Design Inc. Teddy stamp, which I coloured with my promarkers, is from Whimsie Doodles, and the sketch which I followed is this really gorgeous one here ...

1 - The Pixie Cottage Challenge 24 - for the SKETCH.. and there is also an option to decorate the inside of the card. I didn't do this but I sometime soon I definitely want to try out Sharon's Exploding Insert Card. It's totally fab... you have to see it!

Thank You Card

It's a Thank You card for me today, and this one is going to the lovely ladies at the Quick Cards magazine. I wanted to thank them for choosing me as one of their 10 very lucky winners in the Create an Easter Card Competition last March.

I hope they'll like it !!!



The cute teddy image is a Whimsie Doodles freebie, and I coloured it with my promarkers. It's the first time I'm using it and my second attempt in colouring it, 'cos I didn't like the first one, but this one came out quite ok I think after I used my blender pen on the strawberry! I cut round the image and popped it up with foam on the white round card, and again popped up the white card on the red one, for more dimension.

Thank you so much for looking, and now here are some photos which I took over the weekend at the Marsa village feast. In Summer, it's typical here in Malta for each town/village to hold it's week-long village feast to celebrate the parish patron saint.

This is the church from the outside, all lit up.


And now here it is from the inside all dressed up with luxurious red damask.

The streets all decorated with banners and lights by volunteers and the locals enjoying themselves to the accompaniment of march band music.
