Christmas with Crafty Friends

Hello again, and a happy Saturday to all. Hope you're enjoying your weekend and have some nice things planned. As for me this morning I have a dentist appointment  :( but then I am going shopping as I need a dress for next week to go to our staff Cocktail Party. I was planning to wear something that I had bought some time ago, but hmmm trying it on again I decided that I wanted something different... so addio housework that I was planning to do after dentist.. and hello shopping :) hoping that I find something quick and nice he he :)

Anyway, it's time for another new challenge at  

Crafty Friends 

and the theme for this fortnight is

CHRISTMAS

so another Christmas card from me for this week!

To do my card we were so lucky to have an image from our sponsor Pink Gem Designs and I chose this cute image Polo in Scarf. I colored the image with my promarkers then made up my card with a DP from my Dovecraft paperpack and finished it off with a star die cut, sentiment, bow and some Christmas trees embellishments.... very simple, just perfect for those quick Christmas cards.

Make Your Own Flowers

Still working long hours at the moment, and today to make it worse, I found an awful surprise when I went to my car :( .. someone crashed into it, and of course left :( I'm really annoyed :(

Anyway today it's Wednesday again, supposed to be my favorite day of the week as I share my DT card for the challenge at 

I ♥ Promarkers

The theme for this week is

MAKE YOUR OWN FLOWERS

For the flowers I decided to use my Marianne Creatables die and made some roses. It's been some time since I used this die... sometimes we buy new stuff and forget the oldies, which are still so nice I think. 

The leaves are a Martha Stewart punch, DP was a magazine freebie, border dies are Cheery Lynn and I did the bottom embossing with my hougie board. The border embossing is a Sizzix one.

We were so lucky this week to be sponsored by Pink Gem Designs as each of us DT girls got to choose an image to play with. The one I chose is this gorgeous vintage stamp, Amelia. 

The prize for the winner this week is 3 digis of their choice.

It's A Girl

A colleague of mine had their first baby and so I was happily very busy making baby cards... my fave theme of cards. This is one of the cards I did for him using one of my fave baby stamps from Pink Gem Designs.

I colored the image with my promarkers and used some dies and my teddy bear punch to embellish my card. I cut the felt dress myself and added a flower brad to finish it off.

It's A Girl

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a nice weekend. I've just been to Valletta this morning as I had some things to buy and back home did a teeny tiny bit of housework and now I thought I would share this card that I made.. another baby card, but this time the girl version of the Pink Gem baby. 

I really love these clear stamps, one of my first buys, had them for a very long time.

To do my card I coloured the image with my promarkers, DP is from Papermania, I cut out the felt dress myself and hubby did the clothes hanger for me. I really love how it turned out..

Use Dies

Good morning everyone. It's Wednesday already, and not a nice one for me today unfortunately as I have a dentist appointment this afternoon!! boo I really hate this :(   aaah wish me luck...

Square Card with Something Round on it!

Good morning everyone. It's not a nice day here in Malta today, in fact it's been cloudy since Monday and now it's windy as well, expecting rain as well :( Me and hubby had planned to take the day off tomorrow to go to Gozo with Pam, who is in Malta for this week with her hubby for a holiday, so I am really so disappointed! Of course, we're still meeting Pam, but still not sure if to go to Gozo or not yet!

Chloe with Daisy

Hello everyone. Today I took the day off again. Had some errands, laundry to do but I spent most of it in my craft room :) What a joy .. and it would have been a near perfect day if only I had my Bokwa class tonight!!

Anyway, this is a card I made this morning, using a stamp I had won some time ago from Pink Gem Design.

I colored Chloe with my promarkers, adding some glitter star dust stickles on the flower and glossy accents on the butterflies on her pigtails. 

The papers are all magazine freebies and the sentiment is from Crafty Sentiments.

I'm really pleased with how my card turned out today.

Welcome Baby

This week I had to make another baby card for my colleague who just had her first baby...  This time the card is from all of us at the office and they wanted me to make it with the baby's photo. 

I'm not so keen on making cards with photos, as I don't get to colour in any images, but this time I found a way to do this.. ...

..by adding this cute Pink Gem Giraffe stamp. Well it was a real hit, and everyone loved it, I was so pleased :)

I coloured my stamp with my promarkers, papers are from my DCWV Nana's Nursery paper pack, some doodling and card candy, followed this sketch..

.. and well.. that's it!

Sweet and Pink

.. and pearls and swirls, embossing and black hair ... are some of the challenge themes which I followed to help me make this card.. ... 

... I'm sure it would have turned out totally different if I didn't follow challenges ... For first thing I wouldn't have done black hair ha ha .... yes today I am trying my hand at colouring black hair!!!  

I've been trying this, but never get it right, so when this week I came across a challenge to colour black hair... I just decided to have another go. ...  still not really that pleased with how mine turned out though... so I am definitely trying again....... perhaps I need more grey shades of promarkers....... 

The stamp that I am using today is the sweet Kaya with Flowers from Pink Gem Designs.. coloured her with my promarkers, papers were a freebie in the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine .. and the flowers I got those when I was on holiday in Australia... so happy I still hadn't used them.

I popped them up on some foam over my Marianne leaf die  cut .. really loved how they turned out.

A Fairy

I've got quite a few stamps which I haven't used for a while.. hope you're not guilty like me ... but today I decided that I'm going to start using these stamps more often and this is the first one that I picked ... a lovely fairy stamp from Pink Gem Designs which I had bought, I think even before I even started my blog!

... and she is such a darling, I don't know why I haven't used her again! 

I coloured the image with my promarkers, flowers from my stash and the papers are from a free gift in the Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine. The brown ribbon and leaves are ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon which I had won from Jacque last December and the sentiment is from Crafty Sentiments Designs.

I used my Martha Stewart punch for the border and did some stitching and distressing all around.

Another Baby Card

Well, so I'm back, with a card now ... he he  :) I can't believe I managed to do a card today ..   I'm always busy busy during the week taxi driving my kids somewhere and we're going to the scouts as well now! Anyway, back to my card, it's really a very quick one, that is why I managed to do it, and I had already started it yesterday.

For my card today I'm using my new cute cute Oh Boy stamp, which I coloured with my promarkers, the border punch is Martha Stewart, and I cut the lovely oval beaded shape with my new Spellbinders Nestabilities. 

I didn't have the TAN embossing mats which you need to do the embossing, actually I didn't know I needed these woops :) ... but somehow I managed for now. Couldn't wait to get me some .... 

.... I LOVE these Nestabllities ..  and don't think they are my last ... he he :) 

I did faux stitching today for a quickie and the booties were in a pack of embellishment ready made.

Welcome Little One

I don't want to say this.. but I'm really miserable today, actually.. even yesterday I was.. and you know why ... I can't find a whole set of stamps   : |   .. I even woke up very early today, couldn't sleep as still thinking of where they might be. I turned my craft room upside down to search for them, wasted so much time, had so many things planned and even my kids and hubby helped me when they saw me like this, but still nothing! I last used three from the set on Sunday for my penguin card and then yesterday, when I went to put them in their place, they're gone... I just couldn't find the rest of the set!!! 

I am really hoping they didn't end up in the trash by mistake... ... sniff sniff  

... but now enough of my bad mood... sorry if I bored you ..  

Onto my card now... I managed to stop moaning and did this to cheer me up. It's for a colleague of mine who is expecting her first baby this month. She didn't tell us if it's a boy or a girl, so I did a girl for now and will be doing a boy later on.. Don't want to leave it 'til the last minute.. as I always do..

A Little Red Robin

Hi girls, hope you are having a nice weekend. It's another nice sunny day here in Malta today but I felt it was a little bit cooler when I went up on the roof to hang up the washing. Aww well, it's December, so off I quickly went and put me on a woollen jumper.

This is another Christmas card that I made today, using again the red and green colours and one of the monthly sweet freebie stamps from Pink Gem Designs.

I added lots of glitter today and followed this sketch to do my card ..

Birthday Wishes

It's Tuesday and a Public Holiday here in Malta, so a day off from work... niiiice :) So of course, here I am blogging before we go out somewhere. Still don't know where yet, but definitely somewhere we will go.

This is a card I made for a friend who loves cats as it's her birthday today.



For my card today I followed this sketch.. had to add some more stuff.. hope it's ok!



and used this adorable Tia Kitten stamp from Pink Gem Designs, promarkers for the colouring, three punches .... Martha Stewart daisy and leaf punches and my Do Crafts butterfly punch. The flowers are Prima and finally I added four buttons.. wonder why I find it so difficult to add these, and they look so good ... I got to be challenged to add them.. ha ha !!!!!

Special Birthday

Didn't think I would have time to post anything today, or make any cards, but here I am with this card which I made for some challenges.



The cute giraffe stamp is from Pink Gem Designs and to colour it I used my fab promarkers. The background papers are actually wrapping paper which I bought from a stationery. They are really gorgeous, very shiny and thick.. and quite expensive too they were :)) But well, I couldn't resist! and the sketch which I followed is this one from Lothian Crafts Challenge Blog. Just came across this monthly challenge and just had to try my luck to win a £15 voucher to spend on anything from their web site!!! Wish me luck :))

Baby Card

The Wednesday following Easter Sunday, that is today, it's the feast of St Gregory here in Malta, or San Grigor. A procession is held and after that a major feast in the fishing village of Marsaxlokk where the brave ones make their first swim but it seems there weren't any brave ones this year, as the weather wasn't so nice today. Not for me, even if it was nice.. ha ha . . I like to wait for the warmer weather... and anyway I prefer to make a card or two :)

A Giraffe

Hello and welcome to my little world of card making :) The card I have made today is this one here which I made using my cute little giraffe stamp from Pink Gem Designs.



I coloured the cute giraffe stamp with Promarkers, and to make the card I followed this fab sketch here at the Gem Of A Challenge, Challenge No 2..... woooh just in time for the challenge !!!! It has to be ME to leave it for the last minute.
