Strike

It is hubby's birthday next month and I still hadn't even given a thought to this and so, like last year, was probably going to leave it to the last minute ... but lucky me, while blog hopping around last week, I came across a fantastic image at Pinky's, which was just perfect for him as he is an avid bowler. Well, I just had to do it straight away, him being abroad at the moment was the perfect time to do it.

The image is from The Crafty Pad, paper from We R Memory Keepers paper pad, which was free in the magazine Simply Cards & Papercraft and stars are Die-Namics. I did the 'STRIKE' word on a Word Document and then coloured it with my promarkers. The Happy Birthday one is a clear stamp.

Wow.. so I'm nearly a month early with his card this year yay : D

Friends... Ewe and Me

And so I'm back... wanted to show you the goodies I received in the mail...

These are some goodies I bought from Joanna Sheen last week. Been dying to get me some more dies and so got me these and an embossing folder as well... can't have enough of these, love embossing ..

and now these are Karen's awesome pins which I won from a blog hop at the I Love Promarkers Challenge Blog last week. Woo hooo aren't they awesome, can't wait to use them on my cards :) Thank you Karen xx

A Shaker Card

Since Summer started, I just haven't been able to keep up with my normal routine of card-making!!! Don't know if this is just me. It's either going out, BBQs, beach and lots of other stuff... besides work and housework aaarrgghhh!!! Hate hate hate this!!

Well, today I've done a card and did something different too, and done a shaker card. I decided on these after I saw some challenges around for holes, acetate and stamping instead of designer paper. Hope you like it.



The stamp is Roshell With Brolley which I won from a Challenge at the Crafty Pad Challenge Blog about two weeks ago. Isn't she a cutie? I stamped her two times, coloured her with my promarkers and popped up Roshell and the umbrella as well. The grass, I cut that, the sentiment I wrote that after writing it with my pencil first and the acetate... that is recycled. I don't remember what I bought but I just kept that little piece of acetate from the packaging. I love recycling and am always looking at what I could keep from packaging and anything that comes to my hand :)

A Spring Card

Yes, today I made this Spring Card! It's a different card from my usual ones not only because it's a spring card, but also because I didn't use any promarkers and I paper pieced as well, which is the first time I tried this technique.. Spring Cards I did before, and love to do them a lot, but it's been some time now since I did one.







Sorry about the pictures not being so clear but when I went to take the photo I found out there were no batteries in the camera and so had to take them with my mobile!!

I made my card today for these challenges.

The first one is for the Crafty Pad Stamp Designs (CPSD) MEGA COMPETITION.. yes MEGA... mega prizes !!!! so go check it out!!! It ends 24th June!



And the second challenge I'm entering this card into is at Crafty Creations where the theme for Challenge No 72 is STITCHING and I did some faux stitching around the main image.

Here's another challenge at Crafty Hos' who this week want us to THINK BRIGHT!!

And I thought the bright colours in my card did remind me of Summer...

Jeremy Giraffe

Hello and a happy Monday to you all. It's back to routine for me here as the kids have started school again today after two weeks Easter holidays. Contrary to yesterday, the weather wasn't so nice today, all dull and windy! Still not complaining, as I was working .. not like yesterday.. out and about all day long.

Here are some photos which I took yesterday afternoon when we were at the Medieval Mdina Festival. The kids especially really enjoyed it as there were medieval re-enactments, fire shows, falconry and various other shows ..







And of course, my card now... I'm using Jeremy The Giraffe today, which I coloured with my promarkers. Had him for some time now but only used him once since.



I have made the card for these challenges:

1 - The Crafty Pad Challenge 66 - They want to see the colours of the RAINBOW this week... so I used my lovely rainbow papers for the background.

2 - Stamptacular Sunday Challenge No 54 - It's SPOTS and DOTS this week... so I used my dotted ribbon and if you look closely there are also more dots in the blue background of the papers :))

3 - The Corrosive Challenge No 59 - This week it's all about TEXTURES, so I embossed the white background.

4 - Crafty Angels Week 30 - The Theme here is MY FAVOURITE THINGS.... this has to be my promarkers... they're my favourite colourings!

Jeremy the Giraffe

While browsing Kathy's blog some time last week, I came across the CARD for Kids Card Drive. Here they collect cards for sick children and their families and so I decided to make some cards for them too.

This is the first one I made, and to do it I used the Die Cut Dreams Challenge Blog theme, and the theme for Challenge no 38 was NO FLOWERS ALLOWED!!! I found it quite challenging though .... no flowers !!! Hey what do I do?!? and SO I realised that I use flowers quite a lot!
