Peek-A-Boo

Another post for me today... wow ... but well, kids start school again tomorrow and I'm really not sure if I would have much time for anything, so I thought I would post this card today instead...

A baby girl card now, and another one for me this week, yes I needed two for the same baby! For this one I used this cute Peekaboo Girl from Karen's Doodles, which I coloured with my promarkers.

Today I followed this sketch..

The lovely background paper were a freebie from my fave Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine and I got the felt flowers locally. For the border I used my Martha Stewart punch to which I added some ribbon and lace. The lace was white so I also coloured it with my promarkers!

A Simple Card

.. well, at least I think  ...

This card is going into my yet so small pile of Christmas Cards and for my card today I'm using Charlie. Some time ago I was lucky enough to win me a voucher from Daisy's Digi Doodles and he was one of the three stamps I chose... aww isn't he a cutie :)

I coloured Charlie with my promarkers and today I tried to keep my card as simple as possible for some challenges in mind, so I just used my snowflakes Cuttlebug embossing folder on some vellum for the top and again on some white card for the bottom.  Hope you like ....

Halloween

 

Halloween ? ... already ? ... No, not yet ... but I'm seeing so many Halloween cards that I'm feeling spooky and thought I would share with you some photos from last year's Halloween Party me and my friends attended ... he he ... I had so much fun..

A Christmas Card

Hello everyone, it's Thursday and that means that today I got me my card for my GDT spot at Crafty Sentiments yay !

and yay again... we were given some new gorgeous stamps to work with.. including me :) This is the first time that I was in a GDT and I was also given free stamps to work with so needless to say... I am soooo loving this :) especially when you get to use this adorable stamp.



Her name is Yasmin, isn't she a sweetie and she is already available at the store if you like her. The challenge this week is hosted by Heather and she is challenging us to USE YOUR SCRAPS.

Bet you have many of those lying around! In fact my background paper had been lying around for such a long time as it had pieces cut off, but I managed to fix it up and hide the missing pieces under the stamp and border. Like?

Birthday Wishes

It's Tuesday and a Public Holiday here in Malta, so a day off from work... niiiice :) So of course, here I am blogging before we go out somewhere. Still don't know where yet, but definitely somewhere we will go.

This is a card I made for a friend who loves cats as it's her birthday today.



For my card today I followed this sketch.. had to add some more stuff.. hope it's ok!



and used this adorable Tia Kitten stamp from Pink Gem Designs, promarkers for the colouring, three punches .... Martha Stewart daisy and leaf punches and my Do Crafts butterfly punch. The flowers are Prima and finally I added four buttons.. wonder why I find it so difficult to add these, and they look so good ... I got to be challenged to add them.. ha ha !!!!!

Vienna Photos and Blog Candy Alerts

Last week I said 'tomorrow I will post some photos.. ' but it seems I had to say 'next week'.. wooops sorry, but here they are now :)

Here I am as soon as we arrived on Saturday. Lovely sunny day it was. We had some time before the show at the Spanish Horse Riding School started and couldn't resist this lovely cafe'.


Now with my very nice and friendly boss :)


and in front of Cafe Demel where we had some mooore cakes in the afternoon .. yum :)


Having dinner and beer at the Prater.


And now at the Schonbrunn Castle, where we spent a whole day here.

and eating Apple Strudel before the show .. yum :)


and again eating, but now the Weiner Schnitzel... yum yum yum.. so tasty, loved it.


Yes I do love my tummy he he .. but it's not all we did of course. Now that was a lovely weekend... wonder where we will be going next year :)

Look now I found these candies which I'm sure you would like to hear about..

here is one at Lothian Crafts who are celebrating their 4th birthday this month, and to celebrate they are giving away 4 packs of promarkers and 4 magnolia rubber stamps!!! It closes 1st October.






and again another birthday.. this one at Stamp and Create who are celebrating their 1st birthday!!! This candy closes on the 26th of September.

Hello there girls, happy Thursday, hope you are having a good week. As for me, I've been soooo busy... on Monday OH had to do an operation on his hand for repetitive strain injury, and so now he can't use his hand for two whole weeks, which means, in particular .. no driving!!! He helps me a lot around the house and picking up kids and doing errands so I've been non stop since then!!!

Luckily I had that weekend break in Vienna with my work mates :) Wow that was lovely, weather great, nice and warm and we got to go to some nice places, even though it was just for two days..... I'll definitely be coming back with some photos tomorrow, I'm sure you're all looking forward to see :)

But for today I got me a card. This is my GDT card for this week's challenge at Crafty Sentiments.

One Stitch At A Time DT Card

Hello ladies, it's Sunday, and as you might have read from my previous post, I am in Vienna at the moment, so this is a scheduled post for me.... hope it's working out fine :)

Today I have my DT card for this Sunday Challenge at One Stitch At A Time and we have a very special challenge for you this week... We are challenging you to make a special "Rainbow Themed" card - anything goes type of challenge, but must have a rainbow or the colors of a rainbow in your creation.

The reason for this Rainbow challenge is in honor of a very special little guy named Cameron. Please go and read his story here.

A very very good friend of Stitchy's who is known in the digital world by the name "FUNKY", has built a beautiful fundraiser blog for her grandson Cameron.. BIG News

Yes, that's right I got big news today as I've been chosen to be a Guest DT at the Crafty Sentiments Designs Challenge for the next couple of months!!! Woo hooo Wooo hooo :))))

I've known for quite some time now but I had to keep it a secret, and now I can tell all about it...

The challenge this week is an easy peasy one, USE A DIGI, and here is the card I did for my first challenge as GDT ...



For my card I used this cute stamp, Snowman Couple, which I coloured with my promarkers and then I used my new Christmas embossing folder. The border stars punch is Martha Stewart. Hope you like it and come join in the fun with your digi stamps for your chance to win two digis from the store.

A Ballerina

It's a Public Holiday here in Malta, celebrating Victory Day. You would think we went out for the day... NO!!! ... had the kitchen finally done, hooray hooray :))) so spent the day cleaning up the mess! Well, it's the only day we could do it as I will be away for the weekend .. ha ha yes.. and it's to do with packing bags again he he :) I'm off to Vienna for the weekend with my workmates... awesome :) But that's not all, it's paid by the company where I work, you know, like a yearly bonus! Last year we went to Sicily for a day and this time we're going to Vienna for 2 days/ 1 night. I'm so looking forward to this as I've never been there!

This is a card I managed to finish off. It's for someone who is leaving their office job to have more time for their passion, hence the image. Very different from the ones I usually do.. 'cos I'm not using any promarkers and I'm also using glitter, which I hardly ever use.



Well, I got me this pink glitter from Orlando, and decided to use it on the ballerina and on the papers as well.



The papers were a freebie in one of the issues of the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine. I thought they were so beautiful that it was a pity to hide them under lots of embellishments and other goodies.. unless it's my mojo gone haywire after my holiday!!

Me Card was a Favourite

Don't you just love it when your card gets chosen as one of the faves.. he he I do :)

... and did I tell you what happened when I gave the card and present to my friend on Sunday? Well, she knew I make handmade cards, so after opening it she just went around showing it to everyone at the party, telling them that I did it!!! I was really really embarrassed but flattered and pleased at the same time :) I had even some coming over asking me from when I learn... I just told them that my blogging friends on the internet are my tutors :)

My new AcquaPromarkers

Before I had left on vacation last month, I was lucky enough to win a set of the new Acqua Promarkers from Jak's Candy. She had even sent me two stamped images of this beautiful boat scene stamp and now I found me some time to experiment with them, and I can tell you .... they are so easy to use and I just LOVE them!!!! I've always wanted to colour with watercolours, but never seemed to get it right, but now that I got these new pens it seems that my wish has come true :))

Here is my card. I focused my attention on colouring the stamp and ended up keeping it fairly simple, but anyway I didn't want to hide the beautiful paper too. Hope you like it. PS.. Grazzi means Thank You in Maltese.

Kiki with Cakes

Hi there friends, how are you, hope you have been having a good week. I haven't blogged for a while, sorry about that, but I've been experimenting with my new goodies :))) , besides of course, other things I had to do, and just haven't posted anything at all this week!

Today, Sunday, wow already!!! it's the birthday of our friend's daughter who is going to be one year old and we are invited for her party. For inspiration I checked at the challenges on at the moment and I thought cute Kiki with Cakes, which was one of the stamps I had won before I left for holiday last month, was just perfect!

Here is what I did. As always, I coloured stamp with my promarkers and then I used two of my new goodies which I got with me from Orlando this year. They are the Martha Stewart border punch and the 'Happy Birthday' stamp, which was one of the Hero Arts stamps sets I got me :))))



and this is the sketch that I followed.
