Christmas no red or green

Hello, good morning everybody, hope you had a good weekend. Mine was great! On Saturday evening we went out with friends for dinner at Ta' Marija Restaruant and then to Gianpula, an open-air night club where I danced all night long ha ha :) I love dancing, but hubby doesn't, so we very rarely go and soooo when we DO go, I make the most of it :P 

Well, it's Monday now, and today I have my DT Card for the new challenge at 

Hooked on Crafts.

Theme for this month is 

CHRISTMAS BUT NO RED OR GREEN

This was just the perfect time for me to use this gorgeous DP that I had from a freebie pack. For the image this time I used a freebie digi, the die-cut is Marianne Creatables and of course the gorgeous charm, the leaves and all the beautiful flowers are all from the Hooked on Crafts store.

I have coloured the image with promarkers, then added the fun snow again with my pen and finished it off with some glitter on their halos and on the snow as well. I love how it turned out.

The prize for the lucky winner this month is a $10 voucher from the store.

Anything with I ♥ Promarkers

So hello again. Here I am again with my second card for the day. This time it's my DT card for the new challenge at I ♥ Promarkers and the theme for this week is an easy ANYTHING GOES. Just use Promarkers, Aquamarkers, Triamarkers or Flexamarkers on your projects and you're in!

For my card today I decided to use this sweet image, which is a freebie at the moment from Milk Coffee Digi Stamps ............... until the end of this month! I just couldn't resist using her straight away, she is so cute...

.. and her dress was perfect for some paper piecing which I felt like doing this time. So I'm using a new digi stamp today on my card, which I combined with some oldie goodies from my stash, the Prima flowers and the background paper. The dies are Marianne Creatables, border punch is Martha Stewart, Thank You sentiment from Just Wordz and the little bunny stamp is a clear stamp from another stamp set that I have... I thought it was perfect with my little girl stamp :)

Stamp Fairy Friday

Hello, Happy Friday everyone.. did you see THE Wedding? Were you there?? How exciting!!  boo I was at work   :(  ......... I thought I would be able to have some sneak peeks from some colleagues' PCs that have internet access but no...  everything was blocked .. thumbs down .. .. so you can imagine how I flew home to have a look ... so exciting, not something that happens every day .. .. She was beautiful, so pretty and gorgeous dress, loved it.

I have my Stamp Fairy Friday card to show you today. Gerda has released some Funny Princess images in occasion of this day... so cute... and the sentiment is the freebie for this week.

This is what I did at first... can't say I am so pleased with how my card turned out .. my mojo was somewhere I don't know where...

First I tried making a blue red white card, BUT I really wanted to use my new leaf die that I bought .. so I had to forget this colour combo if I wanted grass on my card... in fact it's the top part of my card that I didn't like that much .... 

and I say I didn't.. because well today looking at it again I decided that I just had to do something about it! So as soon as I saw some of the wedding highlights I printed off this gorgeous clouds paper and I think it looks so much better.. what do you think?

The clouds and the castle are both freebies I found on the internet while trying to do my card.. I thought the castle was just perfect for my card.. you can get them from here. I punched the flowers with my MS punch, the grass with my DieNamics die and butterflies with my XCut punch.

Religious Cards

I had two ordered cards to do this week, a Holy Communion and a Confirmation one... I was going to use the stamps I normally use, but then I came across this gorgeous image from Precious Moments and definitely I had to have a go with this cutie.

I tend to keep these type of cards rather clean and simple, but really loved how it turned out... and a real quickie one too :)   ..Should I do it with the gems or the calice ?? ........

Here is a close up of the sweetie boy... coloured with my promarkers... can't understand why there isn't a freebie Holy Communion girl as well!!

This is the second card I did... decided to do it the same as the other one but different colours. The stamp is from Karen's Doodles, did the little flowers with my Martha Stewart punch.. so quick :)

A Birthday Card

It's not such a nice day here today, haven't seen the sun at all. Don't like :| ... can't take a proper photo ... luckily I had already took this photo . . .

This is a card I made this week for a friend and for a change it's a Birthday Card... mind you, I'm still doing Christmas Cards... I do hope I finish in time all I want to do!

I made this card with a freebie from Hobby Paleis, papers were from a magazine, punches are Martha Stewart and of course I did the colouring with my promarkers. The lovely bag was from a nice pack of embellishments which was a gift from a friend when she went abroad. Pity we had a big clash once! Things never got to be the same again.. she never gets me any goodies now  :(

Twins

Hello friends, how was your weekend? Hope it wasn't like mine 'cos it just wasn't fun at all .. had the carpenter here again on Saturday and well kitchen is still not ready!!! .. long story.. so I still have most of the kitchen dismantled and all things lying about. I'm now really hoping he finishes by this week as OH needs to do an op on his hand asap!! Today was not so fun either, we didn't go to the beach as the weather was not nice and I ended up ironing ... Had a big pile which was getting bigger and bigger each day which just had to be done! O well, if I look at the bright side of that I can say now I'm done with that so I have some free time during the week instead... hopefully..

This is a card I managed to do. A colleague of mine needed a card for twin baby boys and waited for me to come back from my holiday . . . busy as I was, how could I say I couldn't do it!



For my card I used some of my new stuff, MS punches and also the machine to do the embossing and for cutting out the names. The stamp I used, which I coloured with my promarkers, is by Marjorie and is a freebie too... wow, cute isn't it :)

An easel card

Today I decided to have a go at making an easel card... yes my first one! Been wanting to try one for quite some time and now that I did, I loved it :)





I followed this sketch


and used one of Sliekje's cute freebie stamps, which I coloured with my promarkers. Hope you like it.

Dancing Girl

So here I am again with another card... not very often that I make two cards in a day :)

For this card I'm now using this adorable freebie from Anne. Thanks Anne, I really enjoyed using her, she a cutie :) There are lots more if you like.


As always, image is coloured with my promarkers. This week I decided to check out the tutorials at the Promarkers Workshop on how to colour blonde hair and was really pleased that I had the colours I needed and so I tried it out.. think it came out better than my usual.. pity for the picture though.. should have taken a photo instead.. but it's night-time now!

The papers are from the Papermania Pastel Colossal Pack and the border punch is the Martha Stewart lace punch. This is the sketch that I followed.

Flowers

There's a first for everything and this time my first is in making a card with flowers as my main image!!! Yes, can you believe it I never done this, go through my cards and you won't see one!!!

So today I decided to give it a try.



This card I made it for Fany's Yummy Yummy Candy at La boite a Surprise, where you had to make a card with one of her images. There's some gorgeous stuff including some charms, so I'm really keeping my fingers crossed for this one !!! I printed the flowers image twice and after colouring them with my promarkers and cutting out one of them, I curled them a bit for dimension and then popped them with foam for even more dimension. Hope you like it.

I am also entering my card for the Charisma Cardz Challenge NO 22 which the theme for this week is FLOWERS.

Thank You Card

It's a Thank You card for me today, and this one is going to the lovely ladies at the Quick Cards magazine. I wanted to thank them for choosing me as one of their 10 very lucky winners in the Create an Easter Card Competition last March.

I hope they'll like it !!!



The cute teddy image is a Whimsie Doodles freebie, and I coloured it with my promarkers. It's the first time I'm using it and my second attempt in colouring it, 'cos I didn't like the first one, but this one came out quite ok I think after I used my blender pen on the strawberry! I cut round the image and popped it up with foam on the white round card, and again popped up the white card on the red one, for more dimension.

Thank you so much for looking, and now here are some photos which I took over the weekend at the Marsa village feast. In Summer, it's typical here in Malta for each town/village to hold it's week-long village feast to celebrate the parish patron saint.

This is the church from the outside, all lit up.


And now here it is from the inside all dressed up with luxurious red damask.


The ceiling of the church..

The streets all decorated with banners and lights by volunteers and the locals enjoying themselves to the accompaniment of march band music.

Sassy Studio

It's raining here in Malta... well it was, now it's sunny again, but we ended up inside. Me didn't complain, here I am with a card I made :)

This time I am using a Sassy Studio stamp, which happens to be a freebie at the moment for the Sassy Studios Anniversary 4day Relay!!! I didn't think I'd make it as the challenge was to create a card using this freebie in ONE DAY, but here I am, hoping I'm in time.

A birthday card for me today, and I chose this little kitten for Alwyn, as she loves cats and I think he's a really cutie pie :) I had used it before, but last time I coloured it in grey and today I decided on white.

Summer Cat Fun

Awww what a disappointment yesterday it was :| .. I couldn't believe it that Thea didn't make it through the semi-finals. I thought she had a very good song, and such a beautiful voice .. awww ... ... awww...

...

Anyway ..

what I know now is that I still got me a 'Well Done' card to do, because I think she still deserves it!! and that's it !!!

A Wedding Card

This is a card I have just made for my sister. No no, she is not getting married :)) but she will be attending a wedding next month and asked me to do a card for her. .. I hope she likes it.. ow and by the way, the wedding is in the UK. So my card is going all the way to the UK!!! Wooo hooo :) How fun is that !!!



The image, which I coloured with my promarkers, was actually a freebie. Can't remember from where though, as I had found it before I started blogging.. but let me know if anyone is interested in it, I'm sure I'll find the link again and will let you know from where I got it. The papers are vellum ones and if you'd like to get your hands on some of them I am going to add some to my candy for a runner up.. As for the borders, that is a Martha Stewart punch as well as the flowers, which I punched out five times and layered.

Mother's Day

It's another Mother's Day card for me today and this one is now going to a very fresh mother... yes just last month she had her very first baby boy.. how sweet :) and I thought this really cute teddy was just perfect. He was a freebie too.. and so a big thank you must first go to June for such an adorable and sweet freebie. Thanks so much I hope you like how I used teddy :) xxx



I coloured teddy with my promarkers and the half circles on the sides are actually a doily. It's the first time I'm using a doily for a card and I really liked the result, so ... I think I'll be using them more in the future :) I put double foam pads underneath the teddy so that he didn't squash the doily! Hope you like.
