Crafty Sentiments new release

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a great weekend. I've been so busy.. but in a fun way this time :D .. Well Friday was a public holiday here in Malta.. I spent the morning doing housework.. ok this was not fun at all but it has to be done!!.. but then in then in the afternoon off we went to the beach, me and hubby, loved it. Today, Saturday, having no housework to do, I went SHOPPING to Valletta with hubby. I was saying last time that I won't be wearing a uniform any longer... soooooooo I NEED clothes to wear as the ones I have are just not fit for the office! Anyways, I bought a dress, a skirt and four blouses... these besides the other stuff I already bought last week :P Ooooh this is so fun, I am finding clothes shopping again so fun he he .. can't wait for Monday :) ..

Of course, being so busy I just didn't have time for much cardmaking but I thought I would let you know about the new stamps being released at Crafty Sentiments on the 11th off July which the theme for this month is CHRISTMAS.

Anything Goes and some news..

I'm so late with my card today. ... I totally forgot yesterday to prepare my post. Anyway, here I am now, better late than never and today I have my DT Card for the new challenge at I ♥ Promarkers.

The theme for this week is one you're going to love

ANYTHING GOES 

And this week it was time for all the DT girls to use one of the gorgeous images from Digi Doodles who is our sponsor this week... I definitely didn't mind at all, I've grown to love these stamps so much, and they are so beautiful to colour.

For my card today I used some lovely papers from a Dovecraft paperpack, a Martha Stewart border punch, sentiment from LOTV, my new gorgeous rattle die, which I had got from here, and flowers, ribbon and lace  to finish it off. Image is of course coloured with my ProMarkers.

The prize for the winner this week is a $10 gift certificate to spend at the Digi Doodles store and don't forget you must use ProMarkers, FlexMarkers, AquaMarkers or Trias to enter our challenge.

And I got some exciting news too .. two news :D .. totally different 

So first I did the Top 3 at Here Come The Boys with this card

   

and then, my other news.. totally different and nothing to do with cardmaking :P .. Well I got a promotion at work and been promoted to a managerial grade :D woo hooo .. I've had an indication about this, but it's official now as from next Monday! I'm so excited about this, never been so happier :) .. ... Sooo as from next Monday I do not wear a uniform anymore and soooo I have been so busy shopping in the last few days .. I have also been dieting and doing also some exercise as well, as I have got quite a few clothes in which I do not fit anymore and think would be suitable to wear at the office. I also however had to increase a bit my working hours as from next Monday as well, so I'll be a little busier from now on too. Anyway I better go now, as I have some alterations to do on some clothes :P ..

Red White Blue

As I was saying last Saturday, yesterday was the last day of school for both of my boys and as planned .. off they both went to the beach with their friends ... which meant a nice quite afternoon all to myself :D .. I hope they have more of these days :P

Anyway, it's time for a new challenge at Crafty Sentiments today and this week we want to see the colours

 RED, WHITE and BLUE

As soon as I saw this theme I immediately thought of a card that I had to do for an England Footballer fan and so I used the footballer boy stamp, one of the newest images at Crafty Sentiments. The background paper was a freebie from Pink Petticoat, you can find it here...  I coloured image with my promarkers, and the stars are die-namics. A very simple card this time, but loved how it turned out.. and Wayne too.. me so happy his birthday was before Saturday !!!! 

The prize for the lucky winner this week is another gorgeous rubber stamp.

Ribbons and bows

Good morning, another hot and sunny day here in Malta ... 35C ... If it weren't for the boys that they are still doing their exams I would be heading straight off for the beach. Just one more to go on Monday and that's it ... and then my younger son will take over the comp for sure! He has already planned to go to the beach on Monday but then it's just playing games with his friends on the internet! Why can't kids be like we were when we were young?

Anyway, I have a DT card today, and it's for the new challenge starting today at Sweet Stampin. The theme for this week is RIBBONS and BOWS and I thought that it would be perfect if I combined it with a wedding card that I had to do. 

For my card I used one lovely paper from a Pink Petticoat paper pack that was a freebie in a magazine quite some time ago, the sweet image is a Forever Friends clear stamp, border punch is Martha Stewart and the corner clear stamp is from LOTV.

The 1950s

I had a bright and fun card yesterday and another one for today ... but very different ... and it's my DT card for the new challenge starting today at I ♥ Promarkers.

The theme for this week is

THE 1950s

I have to admit that I didn't know what to do for this theme, but then I came across this gorgeous image that I had, from Bizzy Becs Burlesque Bessie .... errrm first time using it !!! ... and so after googling a bit on the 1950s I thought that it would be perfect for my card!!

I loved how my card turned out today... lots of glitter for a big change... coloured image with my promarkers and then finished off the shoes and red band on the hat with glossy accents. Stars are die-namics, sentiment is from LOTV and purple boa is from my carnival costume :P ... remember it :) ??

Top Tip Tuesday

So I'm back, hello again. Today as I said I have another post with of course another card and this time my card is for the Top Tip Tuesday Challenge Blog as lucky me I am their Guest Designer for their next two challenges. Woo hooo how fun :D .. and so a fun card I made .. a little bright too...

The theme for this fortnight at Top Tip Tuesday is Independence Day or Stars and/or Stripes. I have of course decided to use Stars and Stripes since we don't celebrate Independence Day here ... and I was also so lucky to get this gorgeous image from Bugaboo Stamps as they are the sponsors for this week. I just loved it as soon as I saw it... so fun. I coloured the image with my promarkers choosing the colours from the papers.. and that's my TIP... choose paper first and then use colours from the paper to colour the image.. hope you like it!

And did you like my yellow car?? I don't think I ever saw a yellow car!!! did you? well if you didn't you've seen one now ha ha

Hello good morning, it's Tuesday and today I have two posts. This is my first one and I have my DT Card for the new challenge starting over at Emerald Fairies Sketch Challenge Blog.

We don't have a sketch this time however, but instead for a change we are playing

BINGO

For my card I used the Larakins and I coloured them with my promarkers. Paper was a freebie one in a magazine and then I topped up my card with some flowers I found in my stash already punched.

Here are the Bingo tiles and I managed to do two lines

A Father's Day Card

Hi, I have a Father's Day Card today, and I made it for my boys to give to their dad yesterday. ... 

As you can see I'm beginning to add more stuff again on  my cards, in fact I think my mojo is finally back as it didn't take me long to do this card and I really enjoyed myself doing it as well  :D

Sweet image is from LOTV, first time using it; I coloured it with my promarkers, papers are Papermania, card candy, raffia and a button to finish it off. The sentiment is computer generated.

Stitch It

Hello, Happy Father's Day to all the daddies out there, hope you're having a great day. Today I have my DT Card for the new challenge starting today at One Stitch At A Time and the theme for this week is 

STITCH IT

You can use real or faux stitching or just use an image from the StitchyBear Digital Stamps Store.

For my card this week I am using an image from Hope Jacare Doodles and made a New Home card.

A very quick card today.. I coloured image with my promarkers, a doily, ribbon, card candy and faux stitching to finish it off. The sentiment is computer generated.

The prize for the winner picked from those using an image from the SBDS store is this set of images below, which you can also get free with a purchase of $12 or more

and the prize for those not using an image from the store is a $3 coupon to spend in the store.

But that is not all.... this week, Karen, one of our DTs, is also offering one lucky winner a gift certificate worth $7 to spend in her newly opened Etsy store making stick pins 

So another good excuse to go making a card using a SBDS image!

Roller Skates Boy

Hello good evening everyone.. I'm so late today with my card... and I was home all day long!!! Yes, took the day off today to stay home as my sons are studying for their annual exams .. Of course I took the opportunity and made me this card.. my first ever Center Step Card using an image from Crafty Sentiments ... Roller Skates Boy.. 

I said last time that I would be showing you a card or two from last Sunday's release and so here I am today with one. .. isn't this guy cute :D

I have to tell you that I just couldn't get my card together at first.. yes my mojo is still being naughty, and in fact my card was going to be totally different than it is now..  even the colour of his shorts was a different colour as I was going to use different papers.. but then I came across the challenge blog Here Come the Boys and was totally inspired by the cards over there and that is how I decided to try making a Center Step Card... 

I'm so pleased I did too as this fold was so fun and easy to make .. think I'll be doing some more in the future.:D

So a little bit about my card now... image as I said before is from Crafty Sentiments, coloured it with my promarkers, papers were free in the magazine Quick Cards, bunting are Die Namics die, sentiment also Crafty Sentiments and that's it.

I am of course entering my card in the challenge

Tutti Frutti

My second card this week... what a tough time I'm having.. why does it have to be so difficult to start making cards again after a holiday?? well at least it always is for me .. it's taking me ages to make a card!

Anyway, a simple card again today from me, but the sweet image and colourful papers I think make up for the lack of embellishments and the simplicity in my card.

I thought this darling image from Crafty Sentiments would be perfect for this theme. I have  of course coloured it with my promarkers, papers were freebie ones in the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine, some card candy and ribbon to finish it off and that's it.. told you it was a simple card!!

Father's Day

Hello good morning, I hope everyone is well and good. I've been hopping around these last two days doing some catching up and trying to get back my mojo as well but after more than two weeks without making a card and having been so busy before that, I am finding it quite hard to start making cards again.... still I got a card today, after a bit of a struggle I managed something. I hope you like it. 

This is my DT card for the new challenge starting today at Crafty Sentiments and the theme for this week is

FATHER'S DAY

For my card I used one of the new images at Crafty Sentiments, which I colorued with my promarkers, the paper is from a Papermania paperpack and stars are Die-namics.

I want also to take this opportunity to let you also know that we had another fabulous release at Crafty Sentiments yesterday.

I'm Back and my Candy Winner as well

Hellooo I'm back, yes and I also have my candy winner ...Well finally you say! Sorry I've been away for so long but I've been away on an aeroplane ..

.. and we went to the Veneto region in Italy, staying in Treviso and also for one night at the Dolomites as well. Woo hoo yes we did, me and hubby with our friends. Had a great time, visiting lots of places, first of which was of course the beautiful Venice going on the gondola

and to St Mark Square

The next day we visited Padua

and the following day we went to Verona, where we went to see Romeo and Juliet's place.

Monday we travelled all the way up to Cortina d'Ampezzo, the Queen of the Dolomites and stayed for one night here. It was raining when we arrived

.. but not the next day... 

 ...beautiful sunny weather and so we headed off for a panoramic walk in the country.

At the hotel now, having a lovely meal with our friends.

 

 The last two days.. so quick ..

Wednesday we went to Bassano del Grappa.

A very beautiful place, had never heard of it before.

I really loved it here as well.

And for our final day, Thursday morning we went to Conegliano, which was very close to Treviso, just 20 mins by train. Here we walked all the way up to a castle and then enjoyed some time strolling around the place.

One last photo in Treviso before we left to board the plane back home, arriving in Malta at 7.00pm.

And that was it, a lovely relaxing holiday, which we all really needed.

I've got lots of catching up to do now, one of which is of course my candy winner..
