Just to Say

Hello everyone, I'm back with another of my 'Just to Say' thank you cards which I'm doing for the tourists that stay at our rental holiday home in St Paul's Bay, Malta. At first I was thinking of doing an Autumn themed card, since they came in October, so in Autumn, but then I decided otherwise. This because they really loved one of the bedrooms and also commented on it, so I thought it would be nice memory for them if I made a card inspired by that bedroom :) .. and also because I wanted to use a new die that I had just bought :P ha ha :)

So, this is the bedroom which I have furnished with blue and yellow colored bedspreads, with butterflies all over them and fun butterflies on the wall as well ...

and this is the card that I did.. 

 

 I was really pleased with the result that I managed to create the same colors and inspiration ... and it so quick too. The background is a die cut which I have just purchased and the butterflies are clear stamps from Pergamano. I colored them with my promarkers and then popped them up with foam pieces. The sentiment is a rubber stamp from Crafter's Companion.

 Well they loved it and so I was extra extra pleased he he :)

Just To Say ...

A lazy day today.. and very well deserved I must say too. Hubby is abroad for the week since Friday and so yesterday I saw me seeing four guests out from our holiday home, taking them to the airport, cleaning up the place, and seeing another two guests in all by myself  ... so was a really really busy day! To top it all, I locked myself out of the place and had to wait till my son got me the other key, so instead of waiting I rushed back home and we met half way, so I was in a real hassle! I was so shocked when I locked myself out that each time I had to go out for something, I double and triple checked that I had the key .. but luckily I still managed in time phew :)

Anyway, I thought that it would be nice to give my guests a card to wish them a safe flight back home and to thank them for having chosen my residence for their holiday in Malta, and so here is the one I did to give the guests from Italy last week. .. Being me, I did a completely different one to give out to the Russians yesterday, but I will share that in another post.

A very quick card, using just dies and one small bird stamp and a sentiment stamp. I decided to do it in monochrome and think it came out quite nice. They loved it in fact :)

Needing a thank you card this week, my mind quickly remembered this fun cow digi image from Stamp Fairy which I thought would be just perfect for what I wanted to do!!

So this is what I came up with ...  I loved the result!!

I colored the the image with my beloved promarkers, background DP is from my Papermania Capsule Collection paperpack, grass and landscape dies are Memory Box, text die X.Cut, and the how-to on how I did the texture on the grass is here ;)

Good morning everyone. I hope you are having a good week. Sorry I haven't been hopping around lately but I'm a bit busy with Mother's Day and Holy Communion cards, besides of course the usual stuff. I should be ok of course, hopefully by the end of this week

Anyway, today it's time for a new challenge at

For my card I decided on this gorgeous stamp that I had but had never used. It is from In 2 Stamps, Daisy with Flower. I have of course coloured it with my promarkers. 

For my card this time I have again used my new fence die from Die Namics, the grass die is also Die Namics while the flowers are Memory Box. The sentiment is LOTV.

Finished it off with the cute kitty cat from Papermania ... he he love these :)

At the moment in Malta the General Elections are being held! Hubby didn't want to go out because of this, yesterday evening and this morning.. of course until the results are out.. and depending on the outcome today... which by the looks of it, WE ARE GOING OUT #!!!!! woot woot :D

Anyway, so me, of course I spent this time in my craftroom and this is one of my makes...

... a thank you card for a male colleague.

Decided of course to keep it clean and simple and so used my Memory Box Piestra Tile die, the letters dies and card candy to finish it off. Always tricky to glue on those letters without leaving a mess on the card!

I  had a Thank You card to do this week for a friend who is not into cutie images and also likes simple cards. This reminded me of my Pergamano clear butterflies stamps which I haven't used for a very long time.

I am pleased how it turned out, especially also that I managed to use a few things that I haven't used for quite a while ... the butterflies stamps, the Thank You rubber stamp from Whispers and the felt flower border, this one I bought and never used. I have of course coloured my butterflies with my promarkers.

Hello everyone, Friday at last and since it's Friday I have my Just Wordz card today.... The theme for this week is THANK YOU and these words you can find in the Everyday Sentiments Stamp Set. For my card I decided to use Miss Evie, a stamp from Squiggle Stamps, which lucky me I had won in a blog hop some time ago yay .. I thought she was perfect for this theme!

I coloured Miss Evie with my promarkers, papers were a magazine freebie and the flowers are from Papermania. I enjoyed doing some stitching today... and thought lace and ribbon would look so pretty.

The butterfly is another of the new goodies that a bought .. . really not sure if I made a bargain or not with this one.. it was on ebay, ending in a few minutes and I just hit the bid button, without even checking anything.. It was so exciting.. I must have caught the ebay bug!!! and there is still one last thing that I bought and haven't used yet :)

Fairwee Emaline

Again I stayed overtime yesterday... but I can have a good break now yay.. as it was a Public Holiday here today..   I'm taking tomorrow off ... and on Friday... woo hoo.... I'm off to Amsterdam :)) I am so excited. This is the yearly team activity that we do where I work. The first time we went to Taormina for a day, then we went to Vienna for two days and now it's Amsterdam for three days he he so fun. Hope weather will be good with us.

So, in between some house cleaning, today I managed to do me this card which I made just for fun. I've been seeing lots of cards made for the Less Is More Challenge and decided to play along as well, as the girls there are trying to reach 1000 entries.

I only played once or twice before, as I do find this challenge so though and today as well really not sure if my card is CAS at all.. so well let me know girls .. look I got lots of white space ....... :)

I used two stamps on my card today, one is the cute Fairwee Emaline and the other stamp, the tree, was a freebie in the Simply Homemade Magazine, which I stamped directly on some dotted paper and then coloured the flowers and tree trunk with my promarkers.

Today I decided to stamp my sentiment directly on my card..... after doing the embossing.......really don't know how it came out good.. ha ha and I could make it in that slanting way as it was a clear stamp... The grass is a Die-Namics die and the little butterflies are and XCut punch.

A Sketch with Stamp Fairy

Hello morning everyone, it's Monday, and today (and tomorrow as well) I going to be in Valletta to attend a work related course..... so, long hours again..... boo..... One good thing though is that I can hop to the post office in my lunch break he he  

... before I forget... but I'm sure you heard, Malta voted YES to legalize divorce yesterday... so it just has to go through Parliament now and then we will join the rest of the world, except the Philippines I think, that has divorce!

Anyway, I have my DT card for this week's Stamp Fairy Challenge today. The challenge this week is to follow a sketch and for my card I used Lenny Notes. The image comes blank without the sentiment, I did that on the computer before printing out the digi.

Coloured him with my promarkers, and popped up the Thank You note and hands. To do the buttons I used my Martha Stewart punch, the embossing with an embossing folder which I had got from The Secret Crafter Shop and the gorgeous ribbon is from Debby.. love this ribbon, thanks again Debby xxx

Strawberry Delight

Hello, good morning. Today it's the last pre-view of the MAY RELEASE new Crafty Sentiments rubber stamps. We have another fun cute stamp to show you today, Strawberry Delight.... told you it was sweet :)

I coloured my stamp with my promarkers, strawberry brad, paper and ribbon from my stash and the fabulous die-cut was in a goody bag gift from my lovely blogger friend Chrissy. ... Thank you Chrissy, just what my card needed :)  mmm really love this die .. I think I will have to get me one now he he :) The sentiment that I am using today is a freebie from Whimsie Doodles.

Thank You Card

I have just finished this thank you card that is going to one of my kids' teacher... I'm actually doing two, but still haven't decided on how to do the other one and I think I'll end up doing it the same!!! Not much fun though doing the same two cards.. but I like this stamp and then to match this stamp I only got these papers with strawberries.



The lace punch is a Martha Stewart one, the flower punches, which are NEW :)).. are Mc Gill ones and the strawberry brads are from Doodlebug Design Inc. Teddy stamp, which I coloured with my promarkers, is from Whimsie Doodles, and the sketch which I followed is this really gorgeous one here ...

My last card for this week, another one for today and this time it's a Thank You card. Like the previous one, I used again one of Karen's gorgeous stamps. This one, unlike the one I used for my previous card, was a freebie, isn't she cute? I've already done another card with her, and again I decided to use the same colour scheme for her dress as I loved it, using my usual Promarkers.
