Anything Goes

Hello everyone and again I'm late with my DT Card this week :/   ... It's filming time this week for the movie Murder on the Orient Express starring Johnny Depp so I've been waking up at 4.00am to be there at 5.00am and returning back home at about 6.00pm!!! So very very tiring, but at least it's fun, I'm doing something different from the usual work routine and I get to meet lots of people and making friends. Unfortunately we didn't get to see Johnny Depp boo hoo :(  :( as the scene they are filming here is near the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem and he wasn't there, but at least we got to see another famous actor, Kenneth Branagh yea yea :) (from the film Harry Potter), who is also directing the film. I'm a muslim, having a blue long veil, so when you are watching the film, just remember that I am in that scene and keep a look out for me too ha ha

Anyway, let's get on to my DT Card and this time it's for the new

This month our lovely DT Sharon will be sponsoring the challenge and is offering a stamp as a prize to the lucky winner so we are all using one of our favourite stamps.

 

 I can tell you it was very difficult to choose a stamp as I have so many that I like, so in the end I decided on a stamp from Kenny as I just love them all, and also as I had just did this card and being so tight on time lately it fit perfectly for the theme.

Have colored the image with my promarkers, digi paper for the background, happy birthday sentiment and then added some die cuts to finish it off. ... John just loves gadgets and TV and computers, so he he this guy was just right for him.

Happy Birthday 21

It's raining here today.... on such days I most of the time turn to my crafting, or reading, especially when hubby is not here. He has a business dinner today and my older son is out with friends, and the younger one of course prefers the company of his computer!!  

Anyway I thought I would share this birthday card that I did for Naomi who turned 21.

Actually this card was much different before as I had done it some time ago, but it had stayed in my box as I hadn't anyone to give it to yet. Then I needed a card for a 21year old and hey ho..  thought this would be perfect. So I fixed it up to add the name and the number.

I really think it came out much nicer now!

So I think I will go and do some crafting now :)

Anything Goes

Well finally I'm back and it's so nice too to be making cards again. I think it's been my longest break from blogging this time. Don't know if you've seen my previous post, but we were renovating our summer residence as we started renting it out. Finally it's all ready and we have even welcomed some guests too. Yesterday we saw five very nice people from Germany leaving, and tomorrow we get two more from Germany. I'm finding this really fun meeting new people from all over. We had from Italy, Peru, Ecuador and Germany so far. 

Anyway, back to my card making and I really enjoyed myself making this card, especially more as I love Kenny K stamps so much.

This is my DT card for the new challenge that started today at

and the theme for this fortnight is ANYTHING GOES. Just perfect for me as have been so long away that I thought I would find it difficult to get back, but I found it was so fun.

For my card I used the image Download Diva and I colored it with my promarkers, which I colored her top to match with the lovely background paper.

Another week gone by and being so busy am not seeing the time going by... This time I was busy decorating our front porch for Halloween with hubby and the kids and enjoying trick or treating to the kids from the neighborhood that came knocking on our door .. but I also was busy making up a costume to wear for a Halloween party that we were going to on Saturday! The only problem was that I only decided on Friday afternoon, while going home from work, that I wanted a new one and not liking the costumes they had in the store, I decided in the last minute to buy the material and make it up myself!! A problem that I also had was that I could not find to buy red fish net tights that I needed to go with the costume, and so I bought skin color fish net tights and to try to dye them myself red!!! ... BUT we also could not find red dye paint, so hubby bought me some other paint!!!! .... THIS on SATURDAY afternoon by the way!! Anyway, believe it or not, we managed to get them red, after drying them in the oven, and ending up getting red all over me and everywhere I touched ha ha, it's so funny thinking about it now and I also managed to finish the costume in time too .. I was a red devil this year he he :)

Well better get back to the present day, and being a Wednesday I have my new DT Card for this week's new challenge at

Paper Piecing

Goooood morning :) It's a beautiful day and an early one for me too !!!!  Yesterday I slept very early after getting exhausted with a busy day at the office and errands after work and then finishing off with a very intense Cross-Training workout and so today I woke up sooo early at 3.00am. Well, after a coffee and a yummy home-made apple cake baked my me the other day, I decided to finish off my post for today.

The theme for this week at I ♥ Promarkers is

PAPER PIECING

I really love paper piecing, it's fun and so easy to do, with stamps and digital images as well. As you can see I paper pieced her top with some digital paper and then colored the rest of the image with my promarkers.

Male Christmas

A day late posting my card for this week! I've been doing long long hours again at the office, hubby has been abroad and so was so busy... but luckily still managed to find time to do my DT card for the I ♥ Promarkers challenge.

The theme this time is

A MALE CHRISTMAS

We were so lucky to get an image to use to make our card, from one of our sponsors for this week Kenny K. The image that I chose to use is this fun Bow digi stamp which of course I colored with my promarkers. I thought this image would be great to use for other occasions, not just Christmas, besides that I fell in love with it when I saw it :P 

For the background I embossed some cardstock with an embossing folder which was a freebie in a magazine and then I just added the wooden 'Jingle Bells' sentiment, die-cut snowflakes and the fun Christmas bells to finish it off. I really love how it turned out.

Use Die Cuts - No Punches

So late with posting my card today!!! .... since last week our older son has started to learn driving so I've been taking him everyday to practice driving on my car straight after work. Needless to say, this, coupled with all the other things to do, hasn't been leaving me much time for anything much and today it's one of those days that I go to Bokwa!

I thought I would end off my post for today by sharing a photo of me while running in the Malta Half Marathon last Sunday! I did it in 2hrs 05 minutes so I was really pleased with myself since it's the first time for me. My legs are now feeling much better but I was walking like a penguin the day after ha ha :P 

A Wedding Dance

What a busy week this was.. besides the Mother's Day cards, this week I also had a wedding card to do... of course not to mention the non-related crafty stuff!!! 

Anyway, on checking out the challenges, I came across the Kenny K one, which reminded me that I had the Wedding Dance image which I could use.

Louise's gorgeous card especially inspired me, since she was using this image and also for the doily die.. so I used my new Quick Kutz doily hearts die too :) I hadn't yet used this one, so I was really pleased that I did :) Thanks Louise.

The other dies that I am using are the leaves die from Marianne Creatables, swirl from Memory Box and again .. my new daisy die from Impression Obsession... woops love this one :)

Designer paper is a real oldie Papermania one from my stash.

It was my brother's birthday this Wednesday. Him being single, I thought this stunning image from Kenny K, Allura Von D, would be just perfect ;)

I coloured the image with my promarkers, the gorgeous DP is from Bearly-Mine, the corner die is from Die-Namics, while the centre one is from Marianne Creatables. I added a peel-off for a sentiment this time, and the star is a real oldie embellishment from my stash.

Dirt Bike Mike

Masculine cards are not my favorite, soo when this week I needed to do one of these, for someone who likes motorbikes, I panicked a little bit.... but not when I found the perfect image to use for my card ...

... and followed this fun sketch ....

... using some colourful papers from Echo Park!

Everything seemed to just fall in place, and I had so much fun making it. The image, I'm sure you guessed, is from Kenny K and I coloured it with my promarkers. The banners were a free stamp in a magazine, while I die cut the number 40 with my Die Namics dies. I did all the little hole circles around the card with a small circle punch.

A Wedding Card

The theme this week at Kenny K, and at so many other Challenge Blogs at the moment too, is ANYTHING GOES ... Well definitely I had to join in, especially when I had this wedding card to post, which I made using my newest image from Kenny K... and which of course is just perfect for this challenge.

I really love how this card turned out, so fun and elegant at the same time I think. I coloured image with promarkers, leaves and hearts dies are Marianne Creatables, DP is Papermania, and centre die Spellbinders.

I have some exciting news now yay :) .. I won last week's Totally Gorjuss challenge 

and so now have a nice £10 voucher to spend at Joanna Sheen woo hoo :)

Well, remember last time I was saying about being asked to contribute to the Christmas edition of the in-house magazine of where I work. .. It is finally out... and so in time too, as today was my last day at work for this year since I'm on vacation leave now for the next five days yay. 

This is the front page and that is my page.

I had finally decided on a scalloped easel card. Thought it would be something different and that someone who isn't crafty and who only has basic craft stuff can try. 

This is a close up of the card. I suggested they use pictures from old Christmas Cards.
