Boofle

I was asked to make a card with Boofle this week.. ooops I didn't know who Boofle was !!! So after googling on the internet for Boofle I found out who he was and that DoCrafts have all the stuff needed. Lucky me, we have a shop near where I live that stocks up on all the DoCrafts goodies. A bit on the expensive side, but when I really need something, or just in a sorry mood,  I just pop there and get me what I need or the something to cheer me up  ha ha :)

This is the card I made. Turned out to be a very simple one. No colouring today as I decided to get the A4 die-cut sheet for the image. They also had the magazine with the freebie Boofle clear stamp as well, but I preferred the die-cuts this time.
Besides the A4 sheet, in which there were also these corners I used on my card, I also got me the paper pad, intending to use the patchwork sheet, but then ended up using just one of the papers from the pad!... well, I will definitely be using the other papers, and the important thing is that they liked it....

Some challenges for my card now.
Penny's Challenges - BIRTHDAYS
Totally Gorjuss 156 - ANYTHING GOES ... WITH A BUTTON (on the flower)
Southern Girls 56 - ANIMAL CRACKERS
C.R.A.F.T. 179 - BIRTHDAYS

And some exciting news too woo hoo :)
I did the Top 5 twice this week, on two challenges with this card.

Top 5 Passionista Blinkie

Definitely exciting news as been quite some time since I did a Tops Card :)

Thank you for looking.

Wishing you a nice weekend.

Harold Duck Easter Card

Another post for today as just finished this Easter Card ... and Woops ... didn't realise that the Challenge Sketch I had chosen will close TODAY!!!! It has to be me to do this. Well, I'm still in time for the challenge and in time to send it off for Easter too :)

So here it is.

I coloured Harold Duck, which by the way, was a freebie, and you can get him from here if you like him... I think he is rather cute, what you think? :) O yes, ... I was saying, I coloured him with my Promarkers. The Easter Eggs paper are from the Papermania Spring Time paper pack and the other checkered one, that don't know, was here around !!!

The lovely sketch is this one, from the Sugar Creek Hollow.

I'm entering this card also into the following other EASTER challenges ....
1 - Fussy And Fancy Challenge No 7
2 - AllSorts Challenge Week44
3 - Charisma Cardz Challenge No 12

Thanks for coming by today.

Sarah Kay

One of my favourites, Sarah Kay....
I really enjoyed making this card and colouring this 'cos it has brought me childhood memories.
No no .. not what you are thinking,,, no kissing boys under a bonnet :) It's just that when I was a child I used to really love Sarah Kay. I still have a Sarah Kay 1983 Calendar intact and there were also these Sarah Kay stickers which you would buy and stick in a FIGURINI PANINI album. I had collected all of the stickers and I still have this finished sticker album and now today, to colour this image I brought out this album to look at to help me colour in this image. I'm really pleased with the result. These Promarkers are just fantastic, I really love using them.

Here is the card.

I made it for a friend of ours who is getting engaged. The dotted backing papers are from the Daisy & Dandelion Paper Pack and the striped ones are from another DoCrafts pack. Lucky me that we got someone selling some craft goodies here, finally!

The sketch which I used here below is from I ♥ ProMarkers Challenge No 7, and the twist this week was to use spots/dots in our project.

I'm also entering this card into Crafty Calendar Challenge No 6 as this time it's FLOWER POWER. They would like to see flowers somewhere into our card or project and an optional extra was to use pastel colours....

And also into Fun With Shapes and More Challenge No 47, as this time the Challenge is to use FAUX STITCHING.

Thanks for looking, and don't forget to have a look at my friend's video for the EUROSONG CONTEST being held next May in Norway... only if you have time of course ;)

Hope you enjoyed your visit.

... Me again!!!
I decided to make the card more personal, and added the names and just had to add some hearts at the top!

Just for you!

Hello, hope you had a nice weekend. As for me it was as busy as ever... and we didn't have much nice weather either.

This weekend also, my younger son had his scout ceremony and he paraded for the first time. He looked so cute and so shy when he saw me taking photos of him :)

Here is my first card for this week which I also made for one of the kids in the Card for Kids Card Drive. I think it's rather cute and think they'll like it. Still have got some more to do though... hope I'll make them in time!

To make this card I used the sketch SSS47 at The Sweet Stop

and used papers from a paper pack of the Daisy and Dandelion range which I just bought last week. I stamped the background with a Do Crafts stamp and used my new Martha Stewart border punch and also another flower punch. The Challenges I'm entering this card in are Die Cut Dreams as this week, it's to USE AT LEAST 2 PUNCHES and in Paper Cutz Challenge as it's ANYTHING GOES.

Marriage

Hello, thanks for stopping by today.

My card for today is a card which I made for a colleague of mine who is getting married. She wanted me to do her a card to give to her husband-to-be. I had never done a card like this before, so I absolutely had no idea of what to do....

After much thought I finally came up with this.... Hope she likes it :)

And for some more fun.... these are the challenges I am entering it into !!!
1 - Allsorts Challenge No 43 use the colours PINK BLACK WHITE
2 - Fab 'n' Funky Challenges - this week's theme is WEDDINGS.
3 - Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge No 74 - theme is ANYTHING GOES
4 - Cute Card Thursday - theme this week is CELEBRATIONS.

Thanks for your time xxx

The papers are from the Papermania new Capsule Collection, the bride I cut it out myself and I also used my NEW Martha Stewart punch!!! Yes... NEW, got it yesterday and it's also MY FIRST ONE ... Woo Hoo! I'm so happy I got it, and it won't be my last !

Good Luck Owl!

This week I had to do a Good Luck card for a male colleague! Does everyone have difficulty with male cards or is it just me!

I desperately needed a nice sketch for this one, and up came I ♥ ProMarkers' Challenge No 5 with this nice sketch. They wanted to see also some embossing somewhere in our project. I'm entering this card also in the Creative Inspirations Challenge No 29, as this week the theme is a MALE CARD!

The sketch:

And here is my card...

... hope you like it! The papers are from the Papermania Simply Elegant Colossal Paper Pack and the image, which I coloured with my promarkers, is by Dustin Pike. I did the wings, beak and legs twice so as to make them stand out more and for the wings I cut a slit in the main picture and inserted the second wings on top, so as to make them look like they are flapping!! To make the embossing I used an embossing ruler which was a free gift in the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine, and the buttons..... well, didn't have anything to do there... so I punched some holes and hey lo.... some fake buttons !!!! Hope you like my idea!

Card for Kids' Lesson

As I was saying in my previous post, I was away for two days.. just away from here, but it doesn't mean that I wasn't crafting... no no.. on the contrary.. I was very busy preparing for the Card Making Lesson which I hold every forth-night on Tuesdays for some kids here where I live.

As the kids are very young, I prepare a card beforehand for them on Monday, and they just do like it. Sometimes, however, I do get quite mixed up on what to do, 'cos the card has to be easy, fun and colourful and has to keep them busy for 1 1/2hrs :)

And here is what we did yesterday! Quite simple, and they loved it 'cos they got to do stamping, colouring and punching as well!

Passion for Promarkers Challenge - Week 38

I am back again today as I wanted to enter this card I've just made for the Passion for Promarkers Challenge. The challenge was to use the colours "Agean, Sky blue and Cool Aqua" and after checking if I had these colours, off I went to do it.

I don't however understand myself how I wanted to challenge myself even more! 'cos I'm not so good with male cards, and here I was doing just that, when I could do anything else.

Fairy Card

Today I made this card for a new friend. It was a public holiday here in Malta, so I had some extra time to do it.

I made it using a Lily of the Valley stamp, background papers from Do Crafts, 'Just for You' stamp also from Do Crafts and what else... PROMARKERS of course !!

I hope she likes it :)))

Valentine - Forever Friends

I couldn't believe it today as I returned home from work... there... nearly falling out of my letter box ... all bent and squashed... was a packet for me. I knew it was the Quick Cards Made Easy magazine, to which I have just subscribed and it was the first one that I was receiving by post. My letter box wasn't small, because my OH bought a new letter box just so that this won't happen ... and what does our postman do ... !!! I couldn't believe it!!!!

So now, for now, I've left him a little note on the letter box... and we'll see what happens! Can't let this happen again !

On to something nicer, here's a card I made for a friend.. Valentine of course, using the Forever Friends Single Rose stamp which I coloured with promarkers.

Update - Friday 26th February *****

I have just came across the Forever Friends Challenge Blog> which I didn't knew existed and so since I got some FF stamps and I happen to love them so much, I started following and I thought I might enter this card for this challenge here. It closes next Sunday on the 28th February and the theme was hearts ..... well I got them and I'm still in time !!!

Claire's Weekly Challenge 27.01.10

Today I made this card for Claire's Challenge on the Do Crafts Website. I wasn't sure if I was doing it right as I'm new to sketches, but well, the important thing is that I enjoyed doing it, mostly as I was using my Promarkers :)

So, for the how I did it...I embossed the background vellum paper using an embossing ruler which was free in an issue of the CMPC magazine. The Newton Bear was also a free stamp in a card making magazine, not sure which one, but anyway, it was either Quick Cards Made Easy or Cardmaking and Papercrafts, and the hearts border stamp I bought from the Do Crafts. The striped paper is from the new Papermania Red Hot Paper Pack, which I just got last week!
