A Black and White card

Good morning everyone.. a nice sunny here today in Malta finally.. but still we decided not to go to Gozo today.. much to my dismay :(  Hubby thought it best we stay home and not go out all day long as our older son will tomorrow be starting his A Level exams :(  Was so looking forward to go and to meet up with Pam and Lorraine again.. .. the sacrifices we do for our kids!!! 

Anyway.. thought I would share a card today that I was asked to do by a friend. Two friends of hers were opening a boutique and wanted a card to congratulate them and this is what I came up with..

Didn't have any nice ladies fashionable stamps, so decided to go for silhouettes .. thinking that black and white is in at the moment :)

Both the skyline and the leaves flourish (from which I cut out the flowers) are Memory Box dies, the corner die is DieNamics, while the square die.. to resemble a shop window, is a Spellbinders.

Congratulations

The traffic this morning wasn't as bad as I had expected.. more cars yes, but not as bad.  Reason I later learned was because not all the schools started today.. ..  so the worst is yet to come!! .. all I need  is to wake up earlier, as I had planned to do today, which emmm didn't happen as last night I remembered about a commissioned card which I hadn't yet done and so I stayed up late to finish it off.. Obviously this morning, not having hubby to shove me off bed..  I didn't get up so early and I had to take a pic of my card as well!!!

The image is one of my gorgeous Lili of the Valley Stamps, coloured it with my promarkers, freebie papers from magazines, my fave Martha Stewart border punch and flowers and leaves with my Marianne Creatables dies. There's glitter on the champagne glasses and then I added pearls and a bow to finish it off. I hope you like it.
