A Special Post

Happy Sunday everyone... If all went well I am in Rome at the moment as this is a scheduled post. Today, being Sunday, I thought of making a special post, as last month I decided to step down from the One Stitch At A Time DT. I've been with the OSAAT DT since July 2010 and it was also my first DT. I was so excited I remember when I had found out that I was one of the new DTs, so in honor of all this, I thought I would make this post and share again some of the DT cards that I had done along these two and a half years. Want also to say thank you to Stitchy for believing in me and giving me the chance when I was just starting my blog.

So this was my debut card, a spring card.

Hello everyone. I've been out all day long today. First it was a work related activity that was not much fun unfortunately, and then after lunch, me and hubby went to a Citrus Festival which was being held at the President's Palace. This would have been very nice if there weren't crowds of people and all the goodies and stuff were finished by the time we were there! So off we went for a walk round the gardens and then to have some afternoon tea. ..very nice.

We're home now and so time for me to post my DT card for today which is for the new challenge that started today at One Stitch At A Time.

The theme for this week is LOVE.

For my card this week I got to choose my image from My Heart Pieces and I chose Birthday Time. Coloured it with my promarkers and the gorgeous border die is from Crafty Sentiments.

New

Hi everyone, I'm back finally!! Sorry I've been away for so long, hope you had a good Christmas and a New Year. ... it is such a long time since I posted anything on my blog, so sorry too for my very late wishes but after recovering from being ill I was caught up in all the Christmas activities, having family and friends over and visiting, parties and family time and Sales shopping as well!! Besides this, hubby was on vacation leave as well, so I was trying to spend as much time with him as possible, since it won't be long now again before he goes off abroad. I of course, haven't crafted anything at all, and in fact this card here I had done it before all this!!! .. I am finding it so difficult to find my mojo again now!!!

Anyway, so this card I should have posted yesterday too! I have lots and lots of catching up to do now.. emails, thank yous, DT cards to do, blog hopping... and I'm hoping to get back into my crafting routine quickly. It will be much easier now with all the decorations gone, kids back to school and me and hubby back to work as well... life seems normal again.

So so I was saying, I should have posted this card yesterday and it's my DT card for the new challenge starting this week at ONE STITCH AT A TIME. The theme for this week is NEW.

The image that I got to choose this week is from Lil Diva and I chose this sweet image The Nativity. I thought it would be perfect for the theme as baby Jesus the New baby.

More than one fold

Good morning everyone, and a happy Sunday to all. It is so windy here at the moment, and just awful weather with rain as well. If I were well, it wouldn't have liked it, but as it is, with hubby abroad and me unwell, I am not bothered at all! 

Anyway, I have two cards today and here I am with my first one which is for the new challenge starting today at One Stitch At A Time. The theme for this challenge is MORE THAN ONE FOLD and so I decided to do a circle easel card.

This week I got to choose my image from one of Leesa's digi stamps and this is Oingo Octopus. I coloured him with my promarkers and then cut him out to mount him on my card. A very quick card today, just added some of those fun bubbly dots and doodling all around my card.

Fabric, Ribbon or Lace

Hello everyone. It's still nice and sunny here so we will be going out somewhere this afternoon. Still don't know where, but definitely we're going out. So my DT Card now for the new challenge at One Stitch At A Time.

The theme for this week is 

FABRIC, RIBBON OR LACE

I have of course chose to use ribbon... ha ha the easiest option and the image that I was so lucky to use this week is Good Girl from Stitchy's gorgeous digis. Isn't she stunning. I thought she would be perfect for a card to a 16 year old or someone around that age. 

I coloured her with my promarkers, border punch is Martha Stewart, doily die is Marianne Creatables and the other nice die, Honeyblossom Sprig from Memory Box, is another of my new dies. So that's three so far .. I told you I was naughty!!! .. but I'm having so much fun with them... like a very early Christmas present from me.

It was a nice day today, a bit windy but still nice and warm, so off we went to the market in the picturesque village of Marsaxlokk. I love going there and always return back home with bags full of fresh vegetables, fruit, some sweets, fish and the occasional jewellery and piece of clothing or two :)  Of course, the boys didn't come with us, we left them sleeping home.

Anyway, today it's the start of a new challenge at One Stitch At A Time and the theme for this week is

For my card this week I got to choose from one of Barbara Jensen's stunning images. The image that I chose is Shy Girl. Thought it would be great for any type of card.

Make one for Christmas

It turned out it wasn't my fave shop that had the sale yesterday.. I made a mix up with the names he he! My fave shop is Orsay and the shop that had the sale was Oasis.. so, wanting so much to see Orsay with the sale, I just read the O and s and Orsay was there in the leaflet for me!! I know I know I'm crazy! Of course I still got me a nice skirt from Orsay but not the matching jacket, as unlucky me they sold out my size and on the internet they just don't ship to Malta! Hummm :(

Anyway, today I have another Christmas card and this is my DT Card for the new challenge at

Music or a Song

Hello everyone. Hope you are having a nice and happy Sunday. Today, all four of us, we went out for lunch to Mellieha as it was such such a nice day and now we're back home but going out again soon, to Sunday Mass this time...And since it's Sunday, it's also time for a new challenge at One Stitch At A Time. The theme for this week is MUSIC OR A SONG.

For my card this week I got choose my digi from one of Donna's gorgeous digis and the one that I chose is Fun in the Jungle.

It immediately reminded me of that fun song The Lion Sleeps Tonight. .... a-wim-a-weh, a-wim-a-weh.... Do you know it? Sure you do........  I also found this really fun video on You Tube .. have a look, you'll love it :)

Butterfly or Buttons

I'm quite excited today. Hubby comes back from Hong Kong this afternoon, so really looking forward :) .. Well, I'm kinda busy too, as when he wasn't here I did neglect the housework a bit he he ssssshhh  so I'm off to do just that as soon as I finish this scheduled post and then to prepare some lasagne as well. It's been quite a long time since I cooked this, so thought I would prepare something special as well... he loves it.

So onto my DT card for today... a cute and simple one this time which I made for the new challenge starting today at ONE STITCH AT A TIME. The challenge for you this week is BUTTERFLY OR BUTTONS.. of course I added a butterfly as I rarely use buttons on my cards!!

Autumn

Hello, good morning everyone and a Happy Sunday to all. Hope you are having a nice day. Still nice and sunny here and today hubby has already left for Paris. My boys are still asleep after a long night out yesterday so having some time for myself blog hopping and to prepare my post for today before I start preparing lunch and whatever else there is to do..

Anyway, it's a new challenge today at One Stitch at a Time and the theme for this week is

AUTUMN 

Just couldn't find very Autumnly coloured papers in my stash, but finally found these and thought they would be fine as well. The sweet image of this little boy is one of Stitchy's gorgeous digis and I have coloured it with my promarkers. Am using two different dies today, the scalloped circle, which is from Nestabilities and the Number 4 die, which I am using for the first time and is from Die-Namics.

Use a Digi

Good morning everyone. Hope you've been having some nice time ... as for me, I was so unwell on Thursday after the party as I drank way tooo much, so I stayed home and slept most of the day!!! but on Friday I went back to work and then off to the beach straight after he he  .. Yesterday I spent a whole day at the beach as hubby and the priest took the altar boys to the beach and so I decided to join them instead of staying home doing housework :P .. today Sunday will be off to the beach again.. yes you guessed it .. I DO Love Summer !!!

Anything Goes

Hello there, good morning. I've been so busy this week having ten of our boys' friends over at our place yesterday for a bbq and so lots of housework and preparations ... and it's been so hot too this week, record temperatures of over 40C ! so hot .. I wish it will be a bit cooler soon. We will of course be off to the beach today and so a quick post before I go as today it's time today for a new challenge at OSAAT.

The theme for this week is

For my card this time I am using one of the gorgeous images from Gingerloft Digi Stamps, Paris Poodle and coupled it with some embossing, a sentiment and some gems to finish it off.

Use A Digi with OSAAT

Hello, good morning, another sunny and hot day here. Had lunch and so me and hubby will be off to the beach as both our boys have started going to the beach with their friends now... they grow up so quickly ... didn't realise it would be so quick though!! 

Anyways, I have a card today and this one is my DT Card for the new challenge starting today at One Stitch At A Time. The theme for this week is USE A DIGI and a digi of course I used, this time from one of Ike's Art collection which I was so lucky this time as I got to choose as well :P 

The image is Male Pin-Up which I enjoyed so much colouring with my promarkers. 

The background paper and the vertical piece of paper are from a hero Arts 'Out of Print' paper pack, while the circle one is from a Papermania paperpack.  

As always there will be two prizes for our winners, one for those not using an image from the store and the other for those using an image from the store, winning the main prize which is from our sponsor The Robin's Nest.

Hello, Happy Father's Day to all the daddies out there, hope you're having a great day. Today I have my DT Card for the new challenge starting today at One Stitch At A Time and the theme for this week is 

STITCH IT

You can use real or faux stitching or just use an image from the StitchyBear Digital Stamps Store.

For my card this week I am using an image from Hope Jacare Doodles and made a New Home card.

A very quick card today.. I coloured image with my promarkers, a doily, ribbon, card candy and faux stitching to finish it off. The sentiment is computer generated.

The prize for the winner picked from those using an image from the SBDS store is this set of images below, which you can also get free with a purchase of $12 or more

and the prize for those not using an image from the store is a $3 coupon to spend in the store.

Anything Goes

Finally  I have another card this week!! I wanted to make something for Friday as it was my birthday, but as you can see I didn't manage! I took the day off, intending to do lots of blog hopping and crafting, but by mid-morning after I returned from hairdresser, we had an electricity cut and then it was already time to go pick kids from school and meet my friend. Apart from the morning, it was a nice day. We went for dinner in the evening and I got a really nice bracelet as a present from hubby :D .. Anyway, don't forget to join my Birthday Candy here.

A fun card today, love how it turned out. The image, Girls Rule is from Gert's Digi Blessings and I coloured it with my promarkers. I plucked up courage and tried black hair colouring this time! Papers are Dovecraft, Sugar and Spice.
