Fancy Folds

For me it is always so difficult to craft in Summer and with hubby on vacation leave, I didn't even manage to make a card last week!!! .. But not this time, as I'm on vacation leave too, so it was easier to find some time to spend in my craft room to make my DT Card for this week.

is FANCY FOLDS

I don't do much these type of fancy fold cards and then I always tend to do the easel, but this time I decided to try something different and so I did the Gatefold card instead. I had done this type of card only once before so it felt really good doing it again, and it was quite easy too.

 

The image that I used is from Bugaboo stamps, colored it with my promarkers, and the papers, which I've had for a very very long time, are from Trimcraft. I just added card candy, the sentiment and twine to my card and that's it! I thought it was too full already with the lovely papers. I did try to add something more, but just couldn't!

Stripes

Hello everyone :) I managed to do some blogging this week, participated in a 10K race last Sunday, doing a PB, went for a swim as well .... and so I'm really happy :) Yes Summer is here in Malta and it looks like it's here to stay and I love it. So there goes something else in my to do list he he .. always wanting to do so much in so little time !!!

Anyway, it's Wednesday today, so I have my DT card to share for the new challenge that started today at

I found some really nice striped papers in my collection of paper pads and thought they were perfect to go with this image that I was so lucky to get from our sponsor for this week

Digi Does It!

Hello everyone. I hope everyone is ok. Sorry for my lack of posts and blogging lately .... I used to upload a card daily once so I don't know what's happening but it seems that I just can't find the time for this anymore and I realise that I do miss it when I get here every Wednesday to post my DT Card! It must be all the overtime I've been doing at the office and the races and all the fitness classes that I have been attending! In fact I've got a 10km race next Saturday.. I'm really hoping to improve on my time!!! 

Anyway, it's a new week and so a new challenge at

For my card I decided to use this gorgeous image that I had once won from Fred She Said and of course I colored it with my promarkers. The DP was a freebie in a magazine and then I cut some flowers and leaves from the paper and added some butterflies to add dimension to the card.

I loved how it turned out.

Flowers

Another week gone by and May will soon be gone which will bring us nearer to Summer and to the end of the exams for my boys... I'm so happy too about this :) 

Anyway, another week means another new challenge at I ♥ Promarkers and the theme for this week is another easy one. This time it's

FLOWERS

.. I told you it was easy!

So I have flowers on my DP, flowers on the image, the embellishments and die-cut at the bottom as well. For the stamp I used this adorable Fizzy Moon stamp that was one of the stamps that I got as a present from Pamela, who was here in Malta again for a week's holiday. She must have read my mind that these stamps of Fizzy Moon were in my wish-list :) I was so excited when I saw it, so I just had to use it straight away!

Anything Goes

Good morning everyone. I can't believe it's been two weeks since I posted anything here... so here I am today with not one but two cards in one post!

For both cards I am using the same stamp set but as you can see they are totally different cards.

The first card I did it for the new challenge that started today at 

I ♥ Promarkers

and the theme for this challenge is

ANYTHING GOES

The two sentiment stamps that I used in this card are from The Wedding Day stamp set which I was so lucky to receive from our sponsor for this week, Visible Image. See the other stamp in this set in the next card.

The other stamp that I used on the card, of the bride and groom is from Card-io, I colored it with my promarkers and then I used DP from Papermania, a die-cut heart doily from QuicKutz and then flowers, a bow and pearls from my stash to finish it off.

For my second card, I used the same large sentiment stamp from the The Wedding Day stamp set and then I also used the lovely rose stamp, which is also in this set.

I decided to heat emboss the stamps, but it was only after the third attempt that I decided they were ok as it's been some time since I did this! I then mounted the cards on gold card and finished it off with gold peel-offs, a bow and the gorgeous die-cut doves from Marianne Design... first time using this die. Love it :)

Metal / Metallic

Hello everyone. Still so busy over here! On Monday I ended up going to Taormina for the day as our auntie, cousin and his wife, who are here on holiday from USA, decided to go there and so we decided to accompany them. I had already been there twice before but we still enjoyed it, even though it was tiring and weather was not so nice.

Anyway, being Wednesday today, it's time for a new challenge at

I wanted to use fresh Spring colors for my card this week and for something different I decided to do some embossing and used the free embossing board that was free this month in one of the magazines. The card is white core card and so after the embossing I sanded it to get out the white effect. I really loved how it turned out.

Not Quite Straight

I'm so late with my card today! I've been having such a busy time this week that I didn't manage to make it in time! Lot's going on as we have a family wedding tomorrow morning and so was busy with last minute shopping and preparations, my brother, who is on holiday here from Australia, is staying with us, there are also our aunt, cousin and his wife from USA who came over for the wedding and also my son is sitting for his O Level exams, so I'm the one taking him for these! Phew!! Even writing them down is making me tired !!!

Hello everyone, hope you are having a nice day :) .. as for me ... I've just returned from work and remembered that I still had to check my credit card accounts, which is what I did!!! only to find out that I had a twice late payment fee plus interest of course!!!! grrrr I hate this ... well, definitely not a good week as MIL was also taken to hospital this week and she is still there! Doctors say it's nothing serious but still not nice on an 80 year old. Besides that, next week we have a family wedding, so we're hoping she'll be out by then.

Hello everyone. I'm so late today with my card! We are very busy at the moment at the office that I had to stay overtime again, and so as soon as I arrived home today, I quickly rushed off for my Bokwa class arriving just in time! Phew!!

Hello everyone, how's your week going.. For me it's a busy one as hubby is doing some painting in the house and so I got a big mess everywhere. Today he even ventured in my craft room ... yikes!!! It really needed a paint job but I am not looking forward to put everything back in place.

Clean and Simple

Back from my Bokwa class today and oops .. I remembered that I still hadn't put up my post for today! My son has been using the laptop non stop in the evenings (taking breaks from the studying for his O Levels) so I am ending up not having any time to use it myself!!

Anyway, so better get on to my card now as it is already so late and tomorrow I have to wake up very early to do my run! I will soon be participating in another marathon, next Sunday, but this time just a 10 km one.. Looking forward to that :P

Good morning everyone. I hope you are fine and having a good week. My younger son has just started his 'O' Levels and so I'm busy with lots of taxi driving. He says he is doing ok, so fingers crossed he is really doing ok!
