Good Luck Owl!

This week I had to do a Good Luck card for a male colleague! Does everyone have difficulty with male cards or is it just me!

I desperately needed a nice sketch for this one, and up came I ♥ ProMarkers' Challenge No 5 with this nice sketch. They wanted to see also some embossing somewhere in our project. I'm entering this card also in the Creative Inspirations Challenge No 29, as this week the theme is a MALE CARD!

The sketch:

And here is my card...

... hope you like it! The papers are from the Papermania Simply Elegant Colossal Paper Pack and the image, which I coloured with my promarkers, is by Dustin Pike. I did the wings, beak and legs twice so as to make them stand out more and for the wings I cut a slit in the main picture and inserted the second wings on top, so as to make them look like they are flapping!! To make the embossing I used an embossing ruler which was a free gift in the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine, and the buttons..... well, didn't have anything to do there... so I punched some holes and hey lo.... some fake buttons !!!! Hope you like my idea!

Cards for Men Challenge - GREEN

Sometime this week I came across the Cards for Men Blog, and this immediately caught my attention as most of the time I'm making ... yes .. cards for men!!! and they are not easy to do! This blog was what I needed as I really need some inspiration.

Well, today I had another male card to do for someone who's turning 50, and so I used this month's challenge for inspiration, which was to use the colour GREEN.

And here is what I came up with....

Hope you like it!

The image was free from Dustin Pike and I coloured it with Promarkers.

Card for a little girl and Freebies

Today I made this card for a little girl, Delia who was diagnosed with Leukemia and is currently being treated at the Denver Children's Hospital. As she loves art, photography and owls, Dustin Pike made some free digis for anyone who would love to send her a card of encouragement.

So if you'd like to send her a card too, and get some really gorgeous digi freebies go to Dustin Pike for details and to get your free digis.

Here's mine .......
