Holy Communion

Today I was busy doing two commissioned Holy Communion cards. This is what I came up with.. ..

I decided on a clean style with no DP. The arch window is from Memory Box, the leaves are Die Namics, while the sentiment die is Spellbinders. Underneath the window I put a piece of clear vellum paper.

The gorgeous images are from Karen's Doodles, and I colored them with my promarkers.

The cross is an EK Success Dimensional Stickers to which I added a peel off.

Some embossing with my hougie board on the side and a bow and two pearls to finish it off. Wasn't sure about these for the boy card, but then I didn't know what to put instead, so I did them too.

Religious Cards

I had two ordered cards to do this week, a Holy Communion and a Confirmation one... I was going to use the stamps I normally use, but then I came across this gorgeous image from Precious Moments and definitely I had to have a go with this cutie.

I tend to keep these type of cards rather clean and simple, but really loved how it turned out... and a real quickie one too :)   ..Should I do it with the gems or the calice ?? ........

Here is a close up of the sweetie boy... coloured with my promarkers... can't understand why there isn't a freebie Holy Communion girl as well!!

This is the second card I did... decided to do it the same as the other one but different colours. The stamp is from Karen's Doodles, did the little flowers with my Martha Stewart punch.. so quick :)

Merry Christmas Everyone

Hello my friends. I've been having a little break from the blog world this week, but today I definitely wanted to come here with this card and take this opportunity to wish you all, and your families a Merry Christmas.

So this is a card I made today for the village priest here where I live. The helpers organised to buy him a robe as a present and wanted me to make a card for him as well. I was flattered, and they are also going to give it to him this evening at the midnight mass.... did you ever see a walking beetroot... well I'm going to be one this evening!!!! I am really not good with these things....

Anyways, I thought this image of baby Jesus from Karen's Doodles was perfect for this occasion and just right to post today, on Christmas Eve as well. I coloured stamp with my promarkers, some glitter with my gel pens all around and lots of embossing today. The stickers are from Anita's Glitterations.

Peek-A-Boo

This is a card I made for a colleague of mine and she specifically wanted my peek-a-boo girl from Karen's Doodles. I of course was ever so pleased as I love my peek-a-boo babies..  :)))

For this card I coloured the stamp with my promarkers, used my papermania papers and followed this sketch

.. and I also for the first time tried my hand at making a flower. I was really pleased with the result and will definitely be making some more in the future :)))

Peek-A Boo Boy

I had intended to post this card yesterday, but I couldn't take a decent picture of it as I finished making it when it was dark.... and so I decided to wait 'til this morning and take the photo before I go off to work...

... I wonder if my neighbours ever saw me taking photos of my cards in my back yard.. he he ... they must think I'm nuts!!!

My card today is going to Italy !!!

The stamp I am using for my card today is Karens Peek-A-Boo boy, which I have coloured with my promarkers. Papers are from Papermania, the border punch and leaf are Martha Stewart and flowers from Michael's.

A Baby Card

I was really excited today, as today I was meeting my friend from Australia, Sandra who is at the moment on holiday here in Malta with her family!

We got to know each other last year through internet, after I saw one of her cards and asked her about the embellishment on her card. She kindly offered to send me, and then after I mentioned that I was from Malta, she told me that her parents were also Maltese!!! What a small world :) And what a coincidence too, I was going on holiday to Australia that year too... we JUST had to meet! Now we will be meeting again at my place for a day of crafting he he ... I CAN'T WAIT !

 

And now here is my card for today ... a baby card.

For this card I used Karen's Peek-A-Boo Boy, which I coloured with my promarkers, some beautiful, glittered baby papers from DCWV, and followed this lovely sketch.

Peek-A-Boo

Another post for me today... wow ... but well, kids start school again tomorrow and I'm really not sure if I would have much time for anything, so I thought I would post this card today instead...

A baby girl card now, and another one for me this week, yes I needed two for the same baby! For this one I used this cute Peekaboo Girl from Karen's Doodles, which I coloured with my promarkers.

Today I followed this sketch..

The lovely background paper were a freebie from my fave Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine and I got the felt flowers locally. For the border I used my Martha Stewart punch to which I added some ribbon and lace. The lace was white so I also coloured it with my promarkers!

A Birthday Card

I had meant to post this card tomorrow, but yikes... I just noticed that one of the challenges which I was following to make this card ends tomorrow!!!! ... and I definitely didn't want to miss this one.. I made such an effort ... so I decided to post it today instead and then do my blog hopping tomorrow as have to go out now ...

Here it is... like ? I used Karen's Cat and Mouse stamp for my card today, which I coloured with my promarkers...

For my sister

Well finally I made a card this week!!! It's my sister's birthday tomorrow and definitely I wanted to give her one which I made especially for her! Got loads of cards done, but just had to do one for her in mind.

She loves cats and so I chose this adorable stamp from Karen's Doodles for her. Was inspired by some challenges around and so made a Summery shaped card.



Stamp, as always, is coloured with my lovely promarkers, papers were in my stash and sentiment is computer generated.

Here's another better picture of the card. I took this one in the daylight now.

BBQ Time!

I'm back now with a card which I have just finished ...



I got the fab idea to do the apron shaped card from this month's Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine. I had Karen's Thrill of the Grill stamp already coloured and waiting for me to do a card with it and when I saw the apron card I immediately loved it and put the idea to good use ha ha :) Of course I added my touch and didn't do the card exactly as on the magazine! Hope you like it !!!

Cute As a Bug!

I thought it would be nicer with the kids having no school ... but I was a bit wrong 'cos they just want to stay using the computer alllll daaaay looooong! Where are those days when we used to go out to play with friends???

We just got one computer and can you imagine my torture to try to get them to move so I can use it! OH is saying we don't need another computer but this is because he doesn't know what I have to go through!!! Awww....

Father's Day

It was back to work for me today! Yesterday it was a public holiday here in Malta which I really liked, even though we didn't go anywhere. Kids spent the morning studying for their annual exams and then in the afternoon they had canoeing with the scouts.

As for me, I decided it was about time I planned our holiday and took this opportunity to do it. We are going to Orlando this year.. woo hoo :)) We've already been there three years ago but we all loved it so much that we decided to go again and visit different parks that we hadn't last time. Of course, there will be some shopping for me too.. ha ha ..yes craft supplies .. you guessed.. I can't wait! I've been told on places where I should go by some blogging friends but any more tips and advice on where else to go would be most welcome ..Michael's and Jo-Anns here I come!

Anyways... here is my card for today.


It's another Father's day card and again I'm using one of Karen's images which I coloured with my promarkers. I did some distressing today... using a foundation sponge !!! woops :) .. well I think it worked out fine! What you think? and can you notice something... NO BLUE... I was so tempted to use it but this to fit another challenge and I like it this way now! Ow and the circled sentiment.. I did that on a Word document.

Confirmation

I'm soooo excited today... there is the first Semifinals of the Eurovision Song Contest and my friend Thea will be singing for MALTA !!!! Ten will be qualifying tonight and another ten on Thursday... I can't wait to see her :)) ..

She is singing in the 11th place ..

Here's my card for today, and again I'm using one of Karen's digis. Today I decided to try something different and so instead of colouring her dress with my promarkers I filled it with the same background paper.. not paper piecing though. What I did was I turned the dress only to ALPHA in the GIMP program and then filled it with the paper which was a digi file as well! I think it came out ok :)

Holy Communion Boy

Hi, here is my second card for today, and this is the Boy Holy Communion now, which is also from Karen's Doodles Holy Communion Set... I can't wait to get me the two new digi stamps which I won from the last challenge at Karen's UK Challenge Blog. Yippeee :) Thanks x



I also coloured him with my promarkers, but of course very lightly, adding some white with my gel pen. The background paper I bought LOCALLY!!! Can you believe this.. I couldn't believe it myself when I saw them at the stationery near me, and they are really thick, 12x12 and were really cheap too at just 10c each! I just got them and said I would use them some time and here they are !!

Holy Communion Girl

Hi, I've got two cards today, and they're both Holy Communion ones which I have made for two colleagues at the office where I work. I don't usually like to do these type of cards, don't know why!!! but now that I got these gorgeous stamps from Karen's Doodles, I can't say this anymore!!!

This is the Girl's card..... I decided that the best place to get a good photo is outside so I took the photo, on the bench in my backyard. Must get me a better place though!!



I coloured her with my promarkers and then added some glitter on the frills of her skirt, belt and headpiece. The background paper is from my Papermania Simply Elegant Paper Pack and the flower I made with my MS Hydrangea Punch and then smudging the sides.

It's A Girl!

Hi again, it's a good evening now :) We ended up not going out after all in the afternoon as my younger son had the school open day, the older one was going out with his school friends to watch a movie and hubby wanted to see the racing cars on tv... Me ... not complaining at all :))

I've always done cards, haven't ever done anything else, so when the Challenges at Karen's Doodles were all Anything But a Card I wasn't going to take part.. but then I said.. hey.. that's what challenges are for !!!!

So I decided to have a go, and made ... a ... bookmark! Well ok, I didn't deviate a lot from cards :) but it's a start.. Next time I'll try something else :)
