So, this week, in honor of National Ice-Cream Day, which is celebrated on the 3rd Sunday in July; i.e. today, ... did you know this? .. I didn't :| woops!!! :) Anyways, you got it, the challenge is to create a card or project using the colours of our favorite ice cream sundae. So fun isn't it !!!
This is what I did .. The lovely fun image and the sentiment are both by Joni from Inktegrity and were one of her gorgeous freebies... thanks Joni xx
I printed off the image twice, coloured everything with my promarkers, except the ice-cream, cut out the umbrella and ball from the second image and popped them up with foam. The papers were freebies from the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine.
For the ice-cream I filled that with some 3D pearl touch paint I had for a vanilla look, and then added some glitter as well. Here is a close up of the sparkle and glitter on my image. Hope you like it.
The sketch that I followed is No 51 from Tuesday Morning Sketches. I had already used this one before and loved it, so when I saw what the theme was at Tuesday Morning Sketches I just had to re-use it.
