Steam Punk or Mechanical

Hi everyone. I'm so late with my DT Card today! It's so so hot here and makes me feel so tired, so straight after work today I just had a nap and then it was already time to prepare dinner and go for my Bokwa class!! Well, it's most days that I've been doing this recently  :( it's too hot to do anything at all! Anyway, better get on to my DT card now which I did for the new challenge that started today at

The theme for this week is

STEAM PUNK or MECHANICAL

Not having ever done a steam punk themed card, and not being also my favourite theme, I of course opted for the mechanical theme.

The image that I used is from Fred She Said, which is another of the images that I had chose from my lucky win some time ago. This image immediately reminded me of my dad as he had a car just like this, but a different color... In fact I was going to color it the same color as his, but I wanted to use these nice car papers that I had, which I thought they were perfect to go with this image.

Christmas in July

Good morning everyone. It's so hot over here and I've just returned from taxi driving my son to work and then shopping... but aww I didn't find anything that I liked enough to buy :( It seems that I always buy even less when there are the sales on!!! 

Well, maybe it's better this way.. ha ha I didn't need anything :P

The theme for this week is as you can see is 

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

For my card this time I decided to use one of the images that lucky me I had won sometime ago from Fred She Said. I have of course coloured it with my promarkers and used my Tim Holtz distress inks to do the background. 

No DP this time and instead used textured white core cardstock which I embossed and then sanded a bit. I've had these for quite some time but never got round to using them so I'm really pleased with myself today and I really enjoyed coloring these beautiful robins too.

Curious George

Hello everyone, welcome to my new followers, thank you for following me. It's a pleasure to have you here in my card making adventure, hope you will enjoy coming along. Today I thought I would share this card I made for the son of a friend of mine, who as you can see, loves the cartoon Curious George a lot.

I printed the image three times and then popped it up for dimension with lots of foam.

I used my Memory Box die to make the landscape and used my SOG clear stamp to stamp the background and make the clouds as well.

I love how it turned out and when his mommy saw it, she wondered for how long George would stay on the card ... oops!! Not sure if I was pleased :(

Doodling

Hello everyone, it's the weekend .. how fun and more fun for me as my vacation leave starts now :) Taking a week off starting next Monday .. so I'm really looking forward to some relaxing days. I did wish of course that I could take more, as hubby could only take days off when I go back, but one of the girls at the office is having her baby and we can't be out at the same time for a long period. I'm so excited for her and already planning some baby cards for her.

For a Male

All alone at home at the moment, everyone staying out til late today. I just had my Bokwa fitness class in the evening, returning home early, so I thought I would share this birthday card I made today for a Juventus football fan.

Anything Goes

Good morning everyone. Today I'm taking the day off as it was my sister's birthday on Monday and so we're going out shopping and then for lunch. It's very rare that we are together like this so I thought it would be nice to spend a day together.

For my card this week I decided on a boy's card again and used papers from my Little Boy Echo Park paper pack to make a really bright and colorful card.The banners stamp was a freebie, which I also colored with my promarkers and the stars border punch is Martha Stewart.

It's A Girl

A colleague of mine had their first baby and so I was happily very busy making baby cards... my fave theme of cards. This is one of the cards I did for him using one of my fave baby stamps from Pink Gem Designs.

I colored the image with my promarkers and used some dies and my teddy bear punch to embellish my card. I cut the felt dress myself and added a flower brad to finish it off.

Use the Sketch

One of the things I have been starting to love to do lately is having a nap as soon as I return home after work. It's not always that I can do this, but it's what I did today and it felt so good :)

For a change I decided to make a masculine card as I'm always putting these off and never have any of these ready. The stamp was a freebie in a magazine and the colors that I used this time are FlexMarkers. I got loads of ProMarkers but just one pack of FlexMarkers, and I really love these pens... so guess what's in my wishlist now.. yes FlexMarkers!!

Another Wedding Card

I had a very busy day today at the office, but still a really good one as my worst enemy was on vacation leave today ha ha :P .. and it's Friday today too, so two very good things happening today :)

Anyway, back home now thought I would share another wedding card that I did, using again another of my fave Lili Of the Valley stamps, which I again colored with my promarkers.

For my card this time I decided to use designer paper from a pack of papers which were free in a magazine, some lace and again the hearts die from Marianne Creatables.

The gorgeous good luck shoehorse is not a die.. but I cut that from one of the cards that friends give me to recycle.. :) shop-bought of course..  I love how my card turned out today too.

A Wedding Card and my Candy Winner

At this time of the year I always have a wedding day card or two to do, this is one that I did this week.

For this one I used one of my fave stamps from Lili Of The Valley, which I colored with my promarkers, and DP from Wild Rose Studio. 

The heart and flourish dies are from Marianne Creatables, while the border die is from Crafty Sentiments. I used corner peel-offs and three silver gems to finish it off.

Photo Inspiration

Good morning everyone. It's a new week and another nice and sunny one here again. Today hubby is taking the day off, but unfortunately I couldn't take it off too as it's the busiest time for me at the office, so you can image how I'll be watching the time for my working day to finish today ... ..

The theme for this week is a photo inspiration and this is what I did... a clean and simple card picking up the colors from the photo.

The cute image that I used for my card is Laugh Lines Garden by CC Designs, which of course I have colored with my promarkers. I printed the sentiment on the computer, just some doodling, a butterfly and two flowers from a pack which I've had for a very long time.
