Butterfly or Buttons

I'm quite excited today. Hubby comes back from Hong Kong this afternoon, so really looking forward :) .. Well, I'm kinda busy too, as when he wasn't here I did neglect the housework a bit he he ssssshhh  so I'm off to do just that as soon as I finish this scheduled post and then to prepare some lasagne as well. It's been quite a long time since I cooked this, so thought I would prepare something special as well... he loves it.

So onto my DT card for today... a cute and simple one this time which I made for the new challenge starting today at ONE STITCH AT A TIME. The challenge for you this week is BUTTERFLY OR BUTTONS.. of course I added a butterfly as I rarely use buttons on my cards!!

The sweet image that I got to play with this time is from Reece's Scrap Pieces and it's called Greenthumb Bear. . so cute I think. I coloured image with my promarkers, butterfly die is from Memory Box while the border punch is Martha Stewart.

Vintage

Good morning and a happy weekend to all. I'm at the dentist at the moment with my son for a pre-surgery appointment, as on Tuesday he will have a tooth removed which is growing on the top inside of his mouth. After this he needs to go twice more to get four teeth removed and then have fixed braces attached as well!!! ... I don't want to be in his place poor thing. Anyway, for a change today I have a Vintage themed Christmas Card!!! I'm really amazed at myself he he. It's been some time since I did a Christmas card and very rarely I do vintage but this week that is the theme at Sweet Stampin', VINTAGE so what a challenge it was for me too ha ha 

For my card today I decided to use one of my gorgeous rubber stamps from Crafty Sentiments and the music sheet clear stamp from Lili of the Valley as well which I'm using for the first time. I stamped both images with brown ink on cream coloured card and coloured main image with my promarkers. Background papers were recycled from an old card, the border punch is Martha Stewart and lovely ponsietta dies are Spellbinders. A ribbon, a chipboard sentiment and some snow with my new pen to finish it off. 

I have to admit I really loved how it turned out even though I had a really hard time doing it.

Men's Cards

A long day yesterday as had to go to Valletta to attend a course, but a very fruitful and interesting one too, given out by a very sweet English lady who made it also so fun ... How lucky for us that she decided to move to Malta five years ago :)

So today it's back to work and since it's Wednesday I have my DT Card for the new challenge at I ♥ Promarkers. Today the theme for us is MEN'S CARDS

Found the theme so difficult this time. Took me ages to come up with something.. and also not totally pleased with how it turned out.. wish I had time to make another one.

For my card I used the sweet camping boy image from our fab sponsor Digi Doodles Shop.

Congratulations

The traffic this morning wasn't as bad as I had expected.. more cars yes, but not as bad.  Reason I later learned was because not all the schools started today.. ..  so the worst is yet to come!! .. all I need  is to wake up earlier, as I had planned to do today, which emmm didn't happen as last night I remembered about a commissioned card which I hadn't yet done and so I stayed up late to finish it off.. Obviously this morning, not having hubby to shove me off bed..  I didn't get up so early and I had to take a pic of my card as well!!!

The image is one of my gorgeous Lili of the Valley Stamps, coloured it with my promarkers, freebie papers from magazines, my fave Martha Stewart border punch and flowers and leaves with my Marianne Creatables dies. There's glitter on the champagne glasses and then I added pearls and a bow to finish it off. I hope you like it.

A Baby Card

Hello everyone, hope you are having a nice Sunday. Today hubby went off to Hong Kong.. he came back from Paris on Wednesday but off he went again today. This time he will be staying longer unfortunately, up til next Sunday .. so I will be busy doing everything by myself here!! .. and I am definitely not looking forward to tomorrow when school begins over here!!! Aaah the traffic will be a big big mess boo !!  I hate it!!

Well all alone at the moment, so thought I would make a post with a baby card I had done some time ago...

The darling stamp is from Forever Friends, coloured it with my promarkers, Marianne Design die-cut leaves, gorgeous hearts border from Crafty Sentiments, Crea-Lies die-cut flowers and another nice die-cut for the centre using one of my Nestabilities dies... Papers are digi ones.

Occupations

What a busy day yesterday.. I ended up staying two hours overtime and I still went shopping as I had planned. Of course then it was a big rush to go home, buy groceries and cook dinner etc etc.  

Anyway, on to my card now and please do excuse the poor quality of the photo ... when I arrived home yesterday it was already dark and just couldn't get me a nice photo. Hopefully this will serve me a lesson not to leave things for the last minute ........... but back to my card ... and my DT card for today I made it for the new challenge at I ♥ Promarkers. The theme for this week is OCCUPATIONS.

When I saw this theme I immediately thought of a nurse and thought that it would be perfect to do a Get Well Soon card and use one of my gorgeous LOTV stamps. The lovely papers on my card are from our sponsor Nitwits Collections ... so lucky girls we are this week I think, love these papers :D

A Sketch

Hi everyone, good morning. Hope you are all well and fine. Today after work I've decided to go do some shopping as since I've stopped wearing a uniform to go to work my love of shopping has come back to me again and I just can't stop shopping woops :D .. .........

So a scheduled post today and I have my DT Card for the new challenge starting today at Crafty Sentiments. The theme for this week is a sketch and our lovely Katrina has prepared a really nice one for us to play with.

For my card I used the really sweet Patches Hitting the Books digi image which I coloured with my promarkers and then I used some gorgeous Back to School papers from Nitwits Collections. Even the apple and the crayons were in the Nitwits pack, but not the sentiment, which was a freebie from Stamp Fairy. Quite a quick card when you got such a nice sketch to follow.

Autumn

Hello, good morning everyone and a Happy Sunday to all. Hope you are having a nice day. Still nice and sunny here and today hubby has already left for Paris. My boys are still asleep after a long night out yesterday so having some time for myself blog hopping and to prepare my post for today before I start preparing lunch and whatever else there is to do..

Anyway, it's a new challenge today at One Stitch at a Time and the theme for this week is

AUTUMN 

Just couldn't find very Autumnly coloured papers in my stash, but finally found these and thought they would be fine as well. The sweet image of this little boy is one of Stitchy's gorgeous digis and I have coloured it with my promarkers. Am using two different dies today, the scalloped circle, which is from Nestabilities and the Number 4 die, which I am using for the first time and is from Die-Namics.

I'm Back

Yes that's right.. I'm back home. We've moved back home from our Summer residence this week so I've been busy busy packing and cleaning up back home...  My boys will be starting school at the end of this month, hubby will this Sunday be going abroad on work to Paris and Hong Kong so we decided it was time for us to go back. Well all good things have to come to an end but back home I have my craft room and all you my friends in blogland to look forward too... so I'm very very happy still   :) 

And I still have managed to do a card this week as well ...  which is my DT card for this week's new challenge at Sweet Stampin'.

The theme for this week is

USE SENTIMENT AS A FOCAL POINT

I have to admit that I didn't know what to do at first as I hardly make these style of cards, but then I remembered my large 'On Your Wedding Day' rubber stamp that I had and thought that it would be perfect for my card......... Very quick too when I decided on what other things to put on my card... The centre dies are Nestabilites, corner rolled roses, leaves and bride and groom, which I'm using for the first time, are all Marianne Creatables dies.

Male Cards

It was sunny on Saturday and Sunday ... but definitely not today (Monday) .. the day I'm writing this post!!! Yes it's raining and pouring and thunder and lightning!!!! mmm I wonder if it's the end of Summer here but no, weather forecasts doesn't predict any more rain for this week, so let's hope they are right! yay !!

Anyway onto my card, and today it's time for a new challenge at Crafty Sentiments and the theme for this week is MALE CARDS.

For my card this time I decided to use one of the last stamps released as still hadn't used this gorgeous Tobey Arr Captain stamp. A quick card today.. I coloured Tobey with my promarkers and then finished off my card with some card candy and corner die cuts.

Music or Movie

Hello Happy Weekend to all. Hope you are having a nice day. Still hot and sunny here and today we're off to the beach. Our Summer residence is so much smaller so not a lot of housework to do and I also haven't been able to go for a swim once this week having been so busy at the office and staying later, so definitely I'm going today.. I love swimming so much.... will really miss it when it gets cooler.

Anyway, it's a new challenge today at Sweet Stampin' and the challenge for this week is
