For my brother

It's one of my brother's birthday tomorrow and this is the card I made for him this morning!!! ermmm ..yes I'm late .. it's not that I forgot, but I find these cards so difficult to do and didn't know what to do. ... not that I can get away with doing these cards, three men at home, two brothers and one dad........ 

So anyways, finally I decided to use this sweet stamp, which I coloured with my promarkers and it was a freebie in the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine.... got out these papers, after I was inspired by a stripes and polka dots themed challenge, and done it! 

The striped paper is from Papermania and the dotted one is from The Cutting Cafe'. I cut the stars with my new DieNamics die... and it's one of the goodies I bought ... am having so much fun experimenting with :)) Hope you like my card and perhaps have inspired you myself now  :)

Happy Easter

Hello, hope you are having a wonderful Easter with your family and friends. This morning, before going to mass, I really felt like doing one last Easter card with my Bildmalarna stamp, which I had last time stamped and coloured and not used up .. and so here I am... this is what I did.

Quite a different card than the ones I usually do, because I'm not using any DPs this time. The stamps I used for the background are all from Quick Cards and Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine freebies, while the butterflies ones are clear stamps from Pergamano. Had totally forgot about them and how beautiful they are.

Coloured everything with my promarkers. 

The sweet bunny border is a freebie paper from the Papercraft Inspirations magazine. I popped it up with foam, like I did for my Bilmalarna stamp and the butterflies.

Stamp Fairy Friday

Hello everyone, it's time for another Stamp Fairy Friday release. We have Lily playing this week and for my DT card today I did a Side Step card for the very first time !!!!  

I've been admiring these cards so much, but always thinking they were too complicated, I never tried.. so when this week I saw Tina's gorgeous card with a great tutorial from Shelley's linked up, I just went for it and had a go myself.

aaaahhh wish I had one of those score boards to help me out with the folds ... !

Here is Lily close up, coloured with my promarkers and paper pieced dress and shoes. Papers from the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine. The grass is a freebie digi stamp from Shelley's images, which I printed on green card. Didn't realise what I was in for when I decided to cut them up, but well, loved the end result, so I think it was worth it.

Today I added some simple flower stickers, which I had for quite a long time... was really surprised they still stick..  and then added some darling die cut cats from Papermania... so cute...

and then Gerda's balloons freebie stamp for the final touch.

Couldn't help myself taking so many photos he he :) I am so pleased with it just like a little kid with his first toy woops ..

Another Christmas Card

Hi Ho... here's my second Christmas Card for the day! I got a really cute Father Christmas this time, two Christmas trees and a bell as well :) I think it came out so colourful too ha ha ..

Papers were all from the Quick Cards magazine, as were the lovely stamps, even the one on the white background,which I'm all using for the first time !

I have again followed a sketch... I think sketches are so helpful for quick cards, I just decided to start following them more now.

Earth Fairy

Hi girls, here is a card I made using this gorgeous Earth Fairy stamp from Pollycraft. Isn't she soooo sweet, I am really getting hooked on these adorable Pollycraft stamps....

So....  as always.... I have coloured stamp with my promarkers and again my papers are from the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine. The border punch is Martha Stewart and flowers I got those from Michael's. It's the first time I'm using these.. still haven't used all the goodies I got from there.......he he :))

As you can see I tried that distressing again, which I done on my card yesterday. I loved it so much that I wanted to have a go with it again. This time I used a thicker card and I think it came out a bit better... some glitter again, green this time, but have to click on the picture to see it shine!!!!

Wedding

So here I am back again, with a wedding card this time... actually two!! I was really busy so I ended up using the same image and sketch, but I couldn't do them exactly the same... could I... I really hate that... no fun at all!

The stamp I used is from Lili of the Valley, which I coloured with my promarkers, adding also some white with my gel pen to her dress and for this one, I used a gorgeous paper freebie from the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine, two of my Martha Stewart punches, some organza ribbon and also some flowers, pearls and swirls. To do the swirls I used my Inkadinkadoo clear stamps.

Peek-A-Boo

Another post for me today... wow ... but well, kids start school again tomorrow and I'm really not sure if I would have much time for anything, so I thought I would post this card today instead...

A baby girl card now, and another one for me this week, yes I needed two for the same baby! For this one I used this cute Peekaboo Girl from Karen's Doodles, which I coloured with my promarkers.

Today I followed this sketch..

The lovely background paper were a freebie from my fave Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine and I got the felt flowers locally. For the border I used my Martha Stewart punch to which I added some ribbon and lace. The lace was white so I also coloured it with my promarkers!

A Ballerina

It's a Public Holiday here in Malta, celebrating Victory Day. You would think we went out for the day... NO!!! ... had the kitchen finally done, hooray hooray :))) so spent the day cleaning up the mess! Well, it's the only day we could do it as I will be away for the weekend .. ha ha yes.. and it's to do with packing bags again he he :) I'm off to Vienna for the weekend with my workmates... awesome :) But that's not all, it's paid by the company where I work, you know, like a yearly bonus! Last year we went to Sicily for a day and this time we're going to Vienna for 2 days/ 1 night. I'm so looking forward to this as I've never been there!

This is a card I managed to finish off. It's for someone who is leaving their office job to have more time for their passion, hence the image. Very different from the ones I usually do.. 'cos I'm not using any promarkers and I'm also using glitter, which I hardly ever use.



Well, I got me this pink glitter from Orlando, and decided to use it on the ballerina and on the papers as well.



The papers were a freebie in one of the issues of the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine. I thought they were so beautiful that it was a pity to hide them under lots of embellishments and other goodies.. unless it's my mojo gone haywire after my holiday!!

It's A Girl

I love making baby cards, so I really love it when I need to make one :)

For my card I used the stamp Sleeping Infant from Digi Doodle Shop's Best, which I coloured with my promarkers and for my embossing I used an embossing ruler which was a freebie in one of the issues of the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazines last year .... Awww I wish they would do more of these type of freebies, I'm all the time using them, they're so useful!!

A Christmas Card

It's our Wedding Anniversary today.. 16 years!!! Wow, so many years !!! Had planned to go out but ended up staying in as younger son wasn't feeling so good, just a bit tired, that's all, but he had an early sleep. O well, never mind, it will be another day!

This is a card I made earlier..



For my card today I used my magazine freebies. The main stamp and an embossing ruler which I used to do the snowflake, were from the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine last year and the background holly leaves, another magazine freebie, but don't remember from which one unfortunately. Had this one for quite a long time now. As always, the image stamp is coloured with my promarker. I also coloured the peel off sentiment with my red promarker, as it was gold. Hope you like my card.

Just a Cute Bear

A simple card for me today. Don't know what was wrong with me today but anything I did I just didn't like.. maybe it's because I'm a bit tired.. who wouldn't be after cleaning up the mess after the house painting!!! And we're not finished yet! Anyway... I then found me these handmade papers which I've had for years and well I finally liked it!!! .. hope you do :)



I coloured the cute teddy stamp, which was a freebie stamp from the Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine last month, with my promarkers and the punch is a Martha Stewart.

BBQ Time!

I'm back now with a card which I have just finished ...



I got the fab idea to do the apron shaped card from this month's Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine. I had Karen's Thrill of the Grill stamp already coloured and waiting for me to do a card with it and when I saw the apron card I immediately loved it and put the idea to good use ha ha :) Of course I added my touch and didn't do the card exactly as on the magazine! Hope you like it !!!

Wings

O wow I can't believe it's already Friday!!! As they say.. you don't see the time go by when you are busy. Been so this week but now I managed to do this card for some challenges.



Sorry about the picture not being so clear... I'd really love to get me one of these stand up holders for cards and proper lighting too.. but I thought I need some MS punches more than this for now. It's my birthday on the 18th so I'm going to treat myself to some goodies :) .. A leaf punch and a deep edge border punch are definite ... don't have these. And then I also saw a pop up waterlily punch... wooh it's telling me to get it too and the doily lace.. I don't know if I'll be able to resist!

I coloured the butterfly stamps with my promarkers, using all shades of blue which I found in my box :) .. how I enjoyed this ! When I done that, I cut round the outline and curled the wings a bit and then I stuck it from the centre and put some foam underneath the wings beside the centre. The paper and the Chipboard Fairy Tag were free gifts in the card making magazines which I buy.

Two Sketches For You

Yes it's two sketches for you at 2S4U!! I thought the sketches were quite nice to work with and so here today I thought I'd make two cards, instead of one, using these sketches, since yesterday I didn't do any. I didn't manage as it was one of those long days yesterday where after work I attend a course. The course is very interesting but it would be more so if I didn't have to go after work...

Anyways.. here are the cards I made today.

This is the first one and for this I used one of Meljen's gorgeous digis. I coloured the cute teddy bear with my promarkers and the papers were a free gift with the Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine.

Another Easter Card

I thought I was finished with my Easter Cards, but well I just had to do another one, especially since I still hadn't used this cute little puppy digi image here from Karen's Doodles. A great day!

Oh what a great day today..

First, I bought the March issue of one of my fave magazines, the Cardmaking & Papercraft ..


and who was there ... ME!! See there I am on the top left hand corner!



Woo Hoo :) I won a lovely handy Storage with Style craft bag! This will surely be useful to take with me for my card making lessons which I hold here for the kids! But that is not all.... 'cos then back home.. I found TWO, yes TWO packs for me in my letter box.

OMG .. couldn't believe it! One had this set of five Promarkers which I won at the I ♥ ProMarkers Challenge and then the other was from my dear friend Kelly,.


OMG all those goodies!!! so beautiful. I don't find these things here in Malta! I just loved them. Can't wait to get my hands on them ... but again... that is not all..

What else now you are saying!!

I won something else, and this time from Heather's Coffee Break. Yesterday I participated in a blog hop, and well... I was one of the winners!!! I really enjoyed the hop 'cos first of all I got to see so many lovely cards, and secondly, I really loved the secret word thing, cos I never manage to do a blog hop with just the comments. This is because I never can leave a comment when the comment form is not set to a Pop Up Form, don't know why I got this problem, so this time I didn't have this problem as we had to get the word. ... mind you, I still left messages!!! And what did I win... two gorgeous digi images of my choice from the Fresh Brewed Designs Shop.. can't wait to get them!



Now for a card now of course... this is what I did today using the free gift tags from the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine. The papers were from the Quick Cards magazine and they were also a freebie with the magazine. I thought I might enter it for the All Sorts Challenge since for this Week 40 it was 'A Tag, Ticket or Label'. Hope you like it.

Passion for Promarkers - Week 39

It's been such a busy week this one but I finally made it for the challenge at the Passion for Promarkers. The challenge this week was to use buttons and bows and I have to admit I've never used buttons on any of my cards before. So this is what I came up with... hope you like it.

I stamped the background with a daisy stamp and used water-colours to colour the daisies yellow. The stamp was a free one in the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine and the butterfly is a new punch which I just bought last week... I'm so happy with it :) There actually are two butterflies on top of each other so the wings of the top stand out more but the pic doesn't show that much.

I ♥ ProMarkers Challenge

This week, a colleague of mine asked me when do I manage to do housework?? Yikes.. when? How do I manage? Working, two kids! Yes, today, a Saturday, I'm running about non stop trying to do everything all in one go so that I'll have time for my cards :)

For this weeks' I ♥ ProMarkers Challenge, not that I expect to win again!!!, mind you, but I just loooove promarkers, just had to take part again... Anyway, I used this lovely Popcorn the Bear stamp which I won from my favourite magazine the Cardmaking and Papercraft for being First Past The Post, and I also used the fab paper pack which was the free gift this month in the magazine. We had to follow the sketch below and also use the colours Pink and Brown.

Valentine Wedding

Isn't it great, it's Friday??!!! can't believe it's already Friday, I really didn't see the week pass by.... perhaps because I was so engrossed with my new blog ;)

I got a party tonight, actually a Carnival Ball. I get to dress up, and this year I'll be wearing arabian :)))

So, I don't think I'll have much time to do a card tonight, and so I thought I'd share with you a card I made last week instead for a Valentine Wedding next Sunday.

I used an embossing board to do the embossing on the hearts which was free in my favourite magazine, the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine. The papers were also free, but in the Quick Cards magazine, but you can download 'til your hearts desire from here.

My first blog

Well, today I decided to try creating a blog !!! I just followed the steps and here I am. Hope this is good. Now why did I want to do this..... of course card making ... what else! I've been seeing many card making challenges and been wanting to try one or two, but not having a blog it was impossible. So I saw this Promarkers challenge, the colours which I just loooove using and made this card here to take part and I needed a blog where to post it. So here it is!!
