Mrs and Mrs

Recently in Malta same sex marriages were legalised.. and guess what .. I was asked to make a wedding card for the first of these couples that got married! I really was excited to do this card, as it was a first for me doing this type of card.. but it was a challenge. Anyway this is what I came up with.. thought I would share it here.

For the background DP I used one from my Wild Rose Studio paperpack, the gorgeous hearts dies are Marianne Design, the Mrs & Mrs die cuts and then lots of peels offs to finish it off. I really loved how it turned out.

Embossing

A day late with my card this week but we were having problems with the internet when I got home and then it was already time to go for my Bokwa class, so I just didn't have time then.

Not one of my best cards this week!!! just didn't have much mojo after I came back from Gozo. .. why does this always happen to me :P

Anyway, the theme for this week at

EMBOSSING

I used some white-core cardstock to do the embossing on .. love how the embossing stands out after the sanding of the card. The DP was free in a magazine as was the lion image which I colored with my promarkers.

A Hen's Party

It's officially Summer and today we're heading off to Gozo for the weekend .. just the two of us he he  just me and hubby :) .. of course the boys will still be on my mind as I get worried that they will stay up late and would just stay hooked to the computer but at least it's just that.. they're good boys..

Anyway, I thought I would do some blogging and share this fun card that I made before we go.

 

The image, I'm sure you noticed is from Bugaboo, background paper is Bearly Mine and the city die is Memory Box. Colored image with my promarkers and then put glossy accents on the glasses and wine bottles to finish it off.

I really love how it turned out :)

Use A Doily

 Good morning everyone. I hope all is well. We are having some really nice weather over here and so of course I've been trying to enjoy it as much as I can by going for a swim with my hubby and friends. During the week it's a bit difficult to fit some time for this, but in the weekend it's a definite must ha ha :)

I just love using doilies on my cards, so this was quite an easy challenge for me.

For my card this week I am using this cutie digi image from Mo which I colored with my promarkers, the baby shoes are a clear stamp which I also colored with my promarkers and the DP is from a Forever Friends paperpack. The border die is from Crafty Sentiments.

A Father to be

I was asked by a colleague of mine to make a Father's Day card to give to her husband, who is going to be a father for the first time really soon, so thought to make a post to share, as I thought it came out so sweet.

She asked for the stork and those exact words on the front as well and so it was quite easy. I found the stork image free on the internet, colored it with my promarkers, and the polka dot papers I recycled from an old shop-bought card. I then finished it off with a little bow and two silver gems.

I really loved how it turned out.

Stripes

Hello everyone :) I managed to do some blogging this week, participated in a 10K race last Sunday, doing a PB, went for a swim as well .... and so I'm really happy :) Yes Summer is here in Malta and it looks like it's here to stay and I love it. So there goes something else in my to do list he he .. always wanting to do so much in so little time !!!

Anyway, it's Wednesday today, so I have my DT card to share for the new challenge that started today at

Digi Does It!

Hello everyone. I hope everyone is ok. Sorry for my lack of posts and blogging lately .... I used to upload a card daily once so I don't know what's happening but it seems that I just can't find the time for this anymore and I realise that I do miss it when I get here every Wednesday to post my DT Card! It must be all the overtime I've been doing at the office and the races and all the fitness classes that I have been attending! In fact I've got a 10km race next Saturday.. I'm really hoping to improve on my time!!!

This time the challenge is to

USE A DIGI

For my card I decided to use this gorgeous image that I had once won from Fred She Said and of course I colored it with my promarkers. The DP was a freebie in a magazine and then I cut some flowers and leaves from the paper and added some butterflies to add dimension to the card.

I loved how it turned out.
