Anything But Square

Hi everyone, hope everyone is well. The weather over here at the moment is awful, well errm not that awful... I mean it's not sunny as it normally is... so for me it's awful :( I just love the sun! So to really describe the weather, it's a bit windy and cloudy and it rained a bit early in the morning as well, which I just don't like. First as tomorrow it's my running day and secondly because on Friday I'm going to a fashion show which is going to be held outside ... so I'd really love some nice weather!

Anyway, I'm sure you didn't stop here to read about the weather in Malta, unless you're coming over, which in that case, you still wouldn't come here for that would you ha ha :)

I really didn't know what to do this week, but finally I came across some different chipboard shapes that I've had for quite some time, and decided to use one of them.

I covered my bird house chipboard with this polka dot DP from Papermania, and then distressed the edges (with my nail file). The sweet birdie image that I used is from Bugaboo Stamps. The die-cut flowers are Nellie's Choice and the border punch and leaves are Martha Stewart.

 

I really loved how it turned out, and had some fun making it up too :) Sometimes it's really good to try something out of your comfort zone!  So why don't you come playing along with us this week. Hello everyone. It's already mid May, which means that I am a year older.. and a year wiser :P Yes on Monday it was my birthday and so me and hubby took two days off from work and on Monday we spent it at a spa relaxing! First we had a full body scrub then a full body mud mask, a full body massage and finally a facial as well!! It was a package which include lunch as well. After that we then went back to the spa to spend some time at the jacuzzi, pool, sauna and the many other facilities they had. Wow first time doing this kind of thing, so we really enjoyed it he he Loved it.

Anyway, it was back to work today, and I was really busy after two days off. Luckily nothing urgent that had me staying later in the day, so straight after work cooked dinner and out again for my fitness classes! Finally back home now and here I am writing up my post for today.

Today the theme at I ♥ Promarkers is TAGS.

I rarely use tags on my cards, which is a pity I think, as whenever I do add a tag on any of my cards, I always like it, and it happened again this time! I really must start adding more tags on my cards!

 For our card this week we were so lucky to get to choose an image from our sponsor Eureka Stamps for this week to make our cards.

I chose this cute Flower Girl image.

Flowers

Still lovely weather over here, nice and warm, just how I love it. This Tuesday I started running again, just a 6k run in the morning before going to work, and it felt so good. I'm going to do another run tomorrow morning, keeping it slow not to get hurt again, so fingers crossed I'll be ok. 

Anyway, another week and another card for my DT at I ♥ Promarkers.

I had so much fun making this card today, did some stitching on the sides, pearls and leaves die cuts and a bow to finish it off. Came out so lovely I think, and so colorful.

Anything Goes

Hello everyone, it's a new week and a new month too!! Summer is getting closer and closer and lovely days are coming our way. I'm so happy :) I can't wait to start going to the beach and in fact last weekend we even went swimming. It is still VERY cold, believe me, I couldn't feel my legs while I was going slowly deeper in the sea, and then I just plunged in and it was soooo beautiful and cool !! Can't wait to go again this coming weekend, hoping of course that the weather stays nice and warm.

Anyway, a new week means a new challenge and a new card from me. This time the theme at

For my card I decided to use this pretty card I made for a colleague, using a free clear stamp from Wild Rose Studio that was in a magazine.

The background DP was also a freebie in a magazine and I finished it off with some die cuts, pearls and gems, a bow and the little flowers from a MS punch.
