Pearls and Swirls

Good afternoon everyone. I hope you are fine wherever you are. It's a public holiday today here in Malta, so I am very happy indeed :) 

We were going to go out for the day, to a picnic and possibly for our first swim for this year, but seeing it was a bit windy today we decided not to swim and instead go out later in the day. Well I was really looking forward for my first swim, but thought better not to, even though the temperate is 24C but don't want to risk getting a cold. Will wait a few more days....

Anyway, it's week two of the PEARLS AND SWIRLS challenge at

 I  ♥ Promarkers 

and so time for team 2 to post their cards.

 We have two sponsors this week, and lucky us we got to use an image from one of our sponsors Digital Delights

 The image that I am using is this really cute Flower Power Dolled Up Daisy

 I colored the image with my promarkers and used lovely DP from a My Mind's Eye paperpack which was free in a Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine long time ago. I then added some lovely bubble shiny flowers and butterfly stickers and finished off my card with a stamped sentiment on a die cut and of course with pearls and swirls for the challenge.

Really loved how it turned out. I decided to give my card to a colleague who is also so cute and loves bright colours and who tomorrow happens to be her last day at work with us as she will be moving to another department next week. I'm sure she will love it.

Anything Goes

Hello everyone and a happy Saturday to all. I'm back home in Malta after a great holiday in Livigno .. .. well not really that great as my sister-in-law, who was with us on holiday with her husband, unfortunately got injured on our third day there and ended up having her right leg in cast :( and in a wheelchair to move around! After that, I was a bit nervous to ski, but we continued on but more cautiously and luckily no one else got hurt. We went also sledging, on a husky ride, on jet bikes and horse riding as well and also to the Thermal Baths in Bormio which I can tell you were heaven. Really relaxing and I highly recommend if you are ever there. Don't miss it !

Anyway, back to earth he he and to my post for today to share my DT card for the new challenge that started today at Crafty Friends.

The theme for this challenge is

Great challenge :P as you can do whatever you like and please. For my card I got to use this gorgeous image from one of our sponsors Stamps by Julia Spiri 

 

To make my card I recycled an invitation and used the beautiful background card. I colored my image with my promarkers and then just finished off my card with some pearls, ribbon, a bow and a butterfly and added the centres for the flowers on the background DP.

Men At Work

Hello everyone. Hope you're having a nice week. I'm in Livigno at the moment for a week holiday with hubby and some friends, so this is a scheduled post. We left last Saturday and come back this Saturday and hopefully by now we should be skiing nicely.. .. hopefully Yes as it's the first time for me skiing ha ha :0

Anyway, it's week two of the challenge Men At Work at I ♥ Promarkers, so time for Team B, to showcase their cards.

 This week we are sponsored by the fab Kenny K digi stamps, and we were so lucky to have an image to make our cards. I got to use this fab image Handyman DAD which of course I colored with my promarkers. 

 To make up my card I used digi DP, and peel offs for the tools. The happy birthday sentiment I cut out from a shop bought card and the other For DAD was in a magazine freebie gift.

I'm really pleased how my card turned out this time and I really enjoyed doing it too  My mojo must be getting back he he :)

Owls

Hello there, owl you :)

I hadn't been buying much card making magazines lately, but I couldn't resist one that had an owl die freebie. ... actually, with the die you can make other cute creatures, but the cutest and main one is the owl. Well, I made these cards .............

 Quite different from my usual style of cards, but one has to try different things and I can tell you I really enjoyed making them up.

For this one I used DP from Colorbok and a really beautiful sentiment from Hannelie. thank you so much Hannelie :) Then I just added some twine and clouds dies. I also embossed some straight lines to finish it off.

 For the second one, same die of course :P but more dies now and again more twine. The DP is from Dovecraft Sugar and Spice paperpack.

Use a Number

Hello there and a happy Wednesday to all. 

It's the second week of the challenge with the theme USE A NUMBER at I ♥ Promarkers and so it's time for team B to showcase their cards.

For my card I decided to use one of my fave images from Lily of the Valley which of course I colored with my promarkers. The beautiful and colorful DP were freebies in a magazine and then there's die-cut flowers, ribbon, gems and of course a die-cut glittery pink number for the theme.

We have two sponsors this week which are Letraset, offering a pack of promarkers and Opal Crafts, offering a nice Gbp10 voucher to spend in the store.

btw... half marathon done and dusted! and am so pleased with my timing of 1:58:58, which is an improvement of 4 mins from last year! Considering the awful windy weather and that I was in pain, I couldn't have asked for more.. and also, I'm fine today as well, just not any worse than I was. Have physio appointment tomorrow morning now, so I'm sure it will help me to be better quickly. Here are two pics from the marathon :) I look a bit run down in the last photo.. but well expected ha ha :P
