An Award

One of the lovely things about blogging is the many wonderful friends I have met here. And here is an award I have received from two of my new friends here in blog world, Audrey and Deanne. Thank you so much girls for thinking of me and for passing this lovely award on to me.

When you receive this award, you have to do the following

1 - Thank the person who awarded you

2 - Tell 8 things about yourself

3 - Pass this award on to 8 bloggers

4 - Contact them and tell them about their award.

So here are 8 things about myself:

1 - I've been making cards for over five years.. I think, or more..

2 - I have the most loving sister one can ever have

3 - I work in a Bank..

4 - I wish I was retired to have more time for my crafting

5 - I love watching movies

6 - I'm allergic to cats

7 - I love Summer but wish I was on holiday each day .. ha ha :)

8 - I love short hair .. even though mine is long !!!!

So there I said eight things about myself, I usually avoid this ha ha .. but it was real fun too :)

And now today I'd like to pass this award on to my team mates at Crafty Sentiments

Stamp Fairy Friday

Hello everyone, are you ready for another new release from Stamp Fairy?

.... and here's today release, something really different from last time, as Gerda is thinking of Summer already and has some adorable mermaid stamps for us today. A real cutie ...

I decided I wanted to go monochrome today with my card and so I coloured my mermaid with different shades of blue promarkers, adding some glitter for a final touch. The sentiment is computer generated with some free fonts I had found on the internet and I did the embossing with one of my Cuttlebug embossing folders. Quite a simple card for me today, but I really loved how it turned out.

Here are the other mermaids in the set ..

I am entering my card in these challenges today.
- Paper Play - CLEAN AND SIMPLE
- Cute Card Thursday 146 - OUT WITH THE OLD (for my DP)
- Southern Girls 9 - ANYTHING
- Fab n Funky 54 - ANYTHING
- Rainbow Lady's 134 - SOMETHING NEW (The water drops)
- Lothian Crafts 10 - ANYTHING
- Stamping Vacation - NO NO PUNCHES

Stamp Fairy Challenge

Hi everyone, it's Monday, how was your weekend and New Year's Day? Wow we were so busy yesterday... had my family over for lunch and been up preparing and cooking from early morning.. It was lovely being all together, pity I forgot to take some photos! Kids still on holiday this week, another week off for them but back to work for me after a whole week on vacation... don't you just wish you were still a kid :)

Anyways, it's time now for a new challenge at Stamp Fairy and this week we have a Blog Hop for you as well to celebrate the new Design Team ... with lots of lovely prizes hidden among the DT blogs along with the weekly challenge prize ... woo hoo... . Definitely something you shouldn't miss out! The challenge theme is 'Celebrate with a Colour Explosion', and so I made a birthday card using Betty Perfect Day and using the most colourful papers I could find in my stash.

I coloured Betty with my promarkers, used my Martha Stewart punches and did some handmade flowers today as I didn't have any red ones to match my papers. There's lots of glitter all around as well.

So if you are following the hop, you should have arrived here from Lisa's blog, but if not, you should go from the start from the StampFairy Challenge Blog. Make sure you leave a comment letting us know you have visited us, be a follower of StampFairy and enter the current challenge using a StampFairy image to be in with a chance to win one of the many prizes up for grabs.

Your next stop on the hop is Celine and this is the Blog Hop line in case you get lost.
