Black and White

Good morning everyone. Hope you are having a good Sunday. I'm home today altering my work uniform as didn't manage to do it yesterday.. so my craft room has been momentarily transformed back to a sewing room and my overlocker machine saw some light again and took its former place instead of my Sizzix .... It wasn't so pleased with me that I put her away and I took ages to adjust the tension aarrgh!!

Nearly there now, but have so many altering to do, putting up the hems of the trousers, skirt, pinafore and adjusting the pinafore from the widths and the waistcoat as well!! Luckily the jacket is ok.. I'll be looking forward to go to work tomorrow  :)  ..

Anyway, onto my card now. I have my One Stitch At A Time DT card today and the theme this week is BLACK & WHITE. I got to choose from one of Reece's Scrap Pieces lovely digis this time and I chose.. Shake Your Groove Thing. Yay so cute and fun :)

Not much colouring today with my promarkers, but I loved doing it, something different is always fun! I stamped the background with my Inkadinkadoo clear stamp set, Happy Birthday sentiment stamp Hero Arts, stars dies Die-Namics, white star brad Papermania and lovely ribbon from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.

We are this week sponsored by the Stamping Boutique
so come and play with us for your chance to win some lovely digis.

Gingham

I had such a fantastic time yesterday at the School Reunion.. it was so good to see my school friends and teachers after over 30 years.. such a long time. We didn't stop talking and taking photos .. ending up being the last ones to leave the restaurant ha ha ....

Anyway, got some photos at the end of this post from yesterday but for now I have my DT Card for this week's Sweet Stampin' Challenge. The theme for this week is GINGHAM.

I always associate gingham with Baby Cards.. so that is just what I did today.. a baby card.

The image that I used is a clear stamp from Pink Gem, coloured it with my promarkers and papers are from my Nursery DCWV paper pack. Had these papers for quite some time but since I don't normally do baby cards in these colours, always going for the traditional pink and blue, I found it hard to use them. This time however I wanted to try them out and in fact this week as well I also used the boy ones from these sets..  and am so happy I did. It's good to try something new.

We are this week sponsored by the lovely Fairy Dust Crafts who as well as having a great range of digis also stock loads of other goodies. So come play with us this week for your chance to win.

Some challenges now.

2 Sisters Challenge 65 - ANYTHING GOES
Craft Your Days Away 33 - BINGO (pearls, flowers, ribbon)

and finally some photos from yesterday.

Not everyone could make it, but we were quite a good group.
I am in the centre with the white t-shirt near Mr Borg, our teacher at that time.

The restaurant staff at the back were rejoicing that we were leaving ha ha

More photos..

and another one... the first one on the left was the naughty boy in class.. I remember he had once given me big punch ... I still remember how much I cried ha ha

Fantastic night ...

Well I better go now, got loads of things to do... housework, DT Cards.. and I also have alterations to do on my new work uniform which we will be wearing for the first time on Monday! I am really excited with it.. so I really hope to see later on today..

Thank you for looking

Another CAS Wedding Card

Today is the once in a century super singles day 11-11-11, so I thought I just couldn't let today go by without posting anything.. .. even though I'm so busy after having stayed overtime all week long..  and now going out tonight for a school reunion .. .. ..

besides that I was also working on the Clean and Simple Wedding Cards for the BIG boss! So here is another one I did for him.

Again I used the same colours and card, but this time I used a new wood rubber stamp that I purchased from SirStampalot. I was so pleased with my purchase because it fit perfectly in my Nestabilities die.

I embossed the card at the bottom with my Spellbinders die, and the sides with my Sizzix embossing folder..

.. and then added a rose and two leaves which I die-cut with my Marianne Creatables English Rose die and a Joy Crafts flourish diecut on the other side.

So pleased with how this one turned out as well... even though it gave me such a hard time!

I also have some exciting news now ..  lookie at the Marianne Creatables die that I won

after playing at Lothian Crafts! woo hoo :)
Lothian Crafts Online

I love dies, so when I saw them all discounted at the shop and that Elaine said she would pop any dies I bought in the same envelope with my prize, meaning free postage as well... I just couldn't resist and got me some more dies yay, so fun  :)

Some challenges now for my card and then I'm off to get ready for the School reunion of when I was still at Primary School... I am talking here over 30 years ago.. and all thanks to Facebook as hadn't any contact with any of them.

Winter Sports

We were having some really nice weather here this week in Malta..  warm and sunny.. just beautiful... but not today, it's raining, and I was hoping this nice weather would stretch for the weekend as well .. o well, it's the time of year to expect rain..

I have another Christmas card today and I am using one of Stamp Fairy's really cute images. This week Stamp Fairy is sponsoring the ABC Christmas Challenge, and so some of the DT girls decided to play along as well. .. me too..  another excuse to make me another Christmas card.

For my card I decided to use Donny Ice-Skating stamp as the theme for this challenge is WINTER SPORTS and I thought it was just perfect. A really quick card today .. the nice paper, which was a magazine freebie, did the job... I just added some glitter on the lovely trees and snow, stamped sentiment and  snowflakes randomly ...

.. and of course coloured cute Donny with my promarkers, which I then cut out and popped up with foam.

I am entering my card in these challenges today.

Babies

I have a baby card today for a change... and I made it for this week's Crafty Sentiments Challenge where the theme this week is BABIES. It's been quite some time since I did a baby card.. I forgot how much I love doing these, so obviously I was really pleased with this week's theme... and they always come so handy!

For my card today I am using papers from my Nursery DCWV paper pack and this darling stamp of Luke .. I think I can say he is my fave from the baby stamp set.. really loved colouring him with my promarkers.... The sentiment is also from Crafty Sentiments.

This is the sketch that I followed today.

Rudolph the red nose reindeer...

Hello good morning, another week.. another Monday, so time for Stamp Fairy. We are in the second week of our sketch challenge this week and me wanting to get my Christmas cards done early this year I made another Christmas card today. This time I used this sweet Reindeer Christmas stamp and traditional Christmas colours for something different.

I coloured my stamp with my promarkers, papers and sentiment are from Crafty Sentiments, dies are Spellbinders, border punch is Martha Stewart and the lovely ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons.

It's time now for me to show you the latest release at Stamp Fairy and this week it's Angel Barry .. isn't he cute.. perfect for Baby and Christmas Cards as well I think. Have a look here to see the Friday Team's cards for lots of inspiration using Barry... and don't forget to grab the star freebie.
