Shape Up

It's raining here, as predicted .. a day late.. but it is. So we stayed indoors today. Hubby loved doing the cooking and I spent my time in  my craft room... Now I hope the weather will clear up so that I can take a good photo of the card I did, but for now I have my One Stitch At A Time DT card.

The theme today is SHAPE UP! .. I do need to shape up, really, as I just gobble on biscuits whenever I get the chance..  and no exercise at all.. but for now I am just shaping up my card and did a circle easel card ha ha 

The image that I used this week is one of Stitchy's fun images, Surfin' Santa. As soon as I saw this funny Santa I remembered my brother in Australia, and thought it would be perfect for him.

I wanted some really colourful Christmas papers for this, but couldn't find any in my stash then I came across a shopping bag, which hubby had brought with him from Gozo when he bought something, and thought it would be perfect for my card :) .. So happy I hadn't thrown it away yet.

The sun was a freebie from Pink Cat Studio, but I changed the sentiment on it, and I did the Ho Ho Ho one. The stars were die cut with my Die-Namics die. I have of course coloured Santa with promarkers.

I loved how this card turned out and I am feeling that I will be using this fun stamp a few more times, having some friends from the other side.

Masculine Card

Hello, good morning. It's a nice sunny warm day here in Malta.. been like this all week but weather forecasts predict stormy weather for the weekend. So far nothing, it's the weekend .. looks like they're wrong, but of course, I still wouldn't mind whatever comes ;)

I have today my DT card for this week's Challenge at Sweet Stampin' and this week the theme is Masculine. These cards always give me a tough time and so to help me along I checked out some challenges ..

and this is what I did.. wheels and shapes and teddies...

The stamp was a freebie in a magazine, coloured it with my promarkers, papers are from Papermania.. had these for ages, banners and stars dies are Die-Namics. For the circles I used a puncher and the Happy Birthday sentiment is from my Hero Arts stamp set.

Hello everyone, Friday at last and since it's Friday I have my Just Wordz card today.... The theme for this week is THANK YOU and these words you can find in the Everyday Sentiments Stamp Set. For my card I decided to use Miss Evie, a stamp from Squiggle Stamps, which lucky me I had won in a blog hop some time ago yay .. I thought she was perfect for this theme!

I coloured Miss Evie with my promarkers, papers were a magazine freebie and the flowers are from Papermania. I enjoyed doing some stitching today... and thought lace and ribbon would look so pretty.

The butterfly is another of the new goodies that a bought .. . really not sure if I made a bargain or not with this one.. it was on ebay, ending in a few minutes and I just hit the bid button, without even checking anything.. It was so exciting.. I must have caught the ebay bug!!! and there is still one last thing that I bought and haven't used yet :)

Some Photos

Don't have a card today, and not sure if I will have time to do one as on Wednesdays I do some taxi driving and going to see mum as well at the old people's home, so I thought I would share some photos from my weekend holiday in Amsterdam last month that I went with my colleagues.

So here we are in front of our Botel as soon as we arrived. Was ok, but the rooms were so small.

.. no comment :)

And here we are before we went for the Red Lights District Tour. This guy was getting married and his friends were taking him to the Red Lights District !!! 

Another day and another tour, this time a City Tour. Notice the house at the back of the photo all crooky.

In the evening we went on a Candle Light Boat Cruise. It was so funny .. or not ?? The boat kept bumping so much on the sides of the canals, some of us had wine spilled all over.

Still.. some of us managed to have a nap. he he we were all so tired.

Our final day. We took a half day tour to Zaanse Schans Windmills, Marken and Vollendam.

It was a fantastic holiday, really enjoyed it and weather was brilliant!! 

I wonder where we will go next year.

It's A Sketch

Hello good morning, hope you are fine today... I am busy at work at the moment!

Well, it's Tuesday, so it's time for another fun challenge at Crafty Sentiments.

This week we have a sketch for you and a really nice one too, I loved it.

For my card this week I decided to use the sweet Billy Pumpkin Pie rubber stamp. I coloured image with my promarkers, used some  gorgeous paper from the magazine Cardmaking and Papercraft...

... a die-cut doily from Marianne Design and stitching and a flower to finish it off.

Quite a simple card, but I really loved how it turned out... so colourful.

Birthdays with Stamp Fairy

Hi all, hope you had a great weekend. As for me, I had time to craft and on Saturday we also went in search for curtains and bedspread for our son's new bedroom. Finally found something we all liked and so hopefully they should be ready from the seamstress by next month.. First time not sewing the curtains myself.. I just didn't feel like it this time   : |  Well I got other creative stuff to do now .. much more fun too... ....

This is my card for today and it's my DT card for the Stamp Fairy Challenge. We are in the second week of the Birthday Theme and today I am using ... again .. surprise surprise ... Barry :) woops .. but he is so cute .. I love this little guy.

This time Barry is from the Birthday Set , I coloured him with my promarkers, card candy on the sides and die-cut stars with my Die-Namics die. Sentiment is a wooden rubber stamp and fabulous papers are from The Echo Park Little Boy Collection paper kit. I had bought these quite some time ago, but just couldn't get myself to use them.. they are so beautiful, thick, double-sided and colourful.. always afraid I would ruin them!!! Well finally I did it.. I am using them.. tell me I'm not the only one who does this!!
