Hi girls, hope you are having a great weekend. Sorry I took so long to post the winner of my candy, but been doing housework all day long today... did neglect it a bit lately and then I had to go to my son's School Prize Day. Just returned now!

That's him getting a prize.

 They held a nice Aladdin musical before the prize giving, it was lovely, really enjoyed it.

Anyhoooo,  now I want to say a huge thanks to Kiehn,  Debs,  April  and also Jess for awarding me with this fabulous Stylish blogger Award.

And now another big thank you to everyone that participated in my candy and a really big welcome to all my new followers. A Cosmic Birthday

When I saw the party and fab bargains in Paula's Critters and Cogs stamps this week, I just went and got me one of the sets and now I did this card.... a tent card!

It's the first time for me that I'm doing one of these cards, wasn't my intention to do it, and in fact had a completely different idea for my card when I started it.. with different colours and lots of embossing, but this is it now and can't say I'm not pleased with the result, in fact I'm thrilled with it he he :) Really love how it turned out.

I coloured my stamp with my promarkers, paper is actually a piece of wrapping paper and I did the sentiment on the computer with a free font that I had.

Stamp Fairy Friday

woo hoo it's Friday, and wow already another month gone from this year.. so quick.... It's time for another gorgeous Stamp Fairy Friday release and this time Gerda has Herb Bear for us who is celebrating St Patrick's Day. 

I thought the stamp we were using was perfect for any other occasion as well, not just St Pat, and since this day is not celebrated here, I did a birthday card instead. I really loved how it turned out, especially since I got to use two of my new goodies he he :) ... the embossing folder and the flower die. 

Like my new flower die ? I've been seeing these lovely flowers on Debby's beautiful cards so much, that when I saw them at Joanna Sheen last week I just didn't think twice and grabbbbbbeedd them without thinking he he :)  Of course some other stuff had to drop in as well! I used to be so happy when I used to do clothes shopping before, and now I only get excited when I do THIS kind of shopping ... where are those days!

Friends... Ewe and Me

And so I'm back... wanted to show you the goodies I received in the mail...

These are some goodies I bought from Joanna Sheen last week. Been dying to get me some more dies and so got me these and an embossing folder as well... can't have enough of these, love embossing ..

Spring at Crafty Sentiments

ooops I'm so late in posting my card today for the challenge at Crafty Sentiments. I thought I had scheduled it, but it seems I didn't! What happened also, 'cos I would have realised earlier this had happened.. is that when I came home, I found some goodies in my letterbox and well, you can imagine what happened he he ..... I just went off to play with them .......

But onto my card now, I'll definitely be back to show you the goodies ... this week the theme has been chosen by Bev and she has an easy challenge for us, she wants us to create something with a SPRING theme. 

For my card today I used Vicky, DP from a Papermania paper pack and did some paper piercing today. 

The Birthday Digi Circle Sentiment is from Crafty Sentiments as well and then I added this gorgeous embroidered butterfly from Little Snippets for the final touch! Not much stuff on my card today, but sometimes I feel that the paper is so nice that it's a real pity to hide it.

New Somethings

What an exciting day today and week! Yes, today was the inauguration day of the exhibition! All went so nicely, speech by the CEO, then he came to see our displays, talking to us one by one .... photos by the photographer.... yummy goodies all along .... and a nice commemorative booklet as well woo hoo :) So exciting, am so really tired now after all the preparations and excitement ...

Don't have any photos today (did you see the ones I posted yesterday?), but of course will have today's sometime soon. Instead today I got two more cards which I made especially for the exhibition, me deciding of course in the last minute and both using and doing new things for me.

For this one I'm using my newest and FIRST Kraftin Kimmie stamp, woo hooo isn't she TDF. Couldn't decide which one to get from them all, and finally I decided on Nadine. 

I coloured her with my promarkers, my son decided on the red touches on her dress! ..... I like to involve them as much as I can, paper was a freebie gift in the Cardmaking and Papercraft mag, embossing (love this), some gems, a flower and a nice bow for the final touch. See something different in my bow? .... I haven't got the bow easy, but I found a free bow-easy template here, which I printed and cut out on a very thick card. Was just as good I think :) Ah yes, I did the sentiment myself on a Word document.

For my second card, I am trying a diamond fold card for the first time. I thought it would have been a good idea to make a different shaped card for the exhibition and I got the idea after I saw the challenge and tutorial at the Fairytale Challengeblog this week. Really loved how it turned out.

Stamp is from Daisy Doodles, which I coloured with my promarkers, papers were a free gift in the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine, butterfly punch from DoCrafts, corner one from MS  ..

and the lovely birthday stamp is from Crafty Sentiments.

A Birthday Card and Photos

It's hubby's birthday today and here is the card I made for him .... yesterday! .... NOT ONE OF MY BEST unfortunately... but I really find men's cards so hard to do! He really liked it though, and the kids too, especially since I asked them to choose the picture themselves.

Stamp is from Phindy's Place, coloured with my promarkers, star brad from Papermania and this is the sketch that I followed. 

 

Here is also the greeting on the inside of the card, using a stamp from Hero Arts. It seemed it was just made especially for me because today I went to his office and left him this big cake... as a surprise... which  I had ordered last week!!  He he I was so excited when I went to leave it there :) Yum .. I hope he leaves me a little piece.

Look at the decoration, I love that gorgeous ribbon around the cake.... something for me as well :))

Sorry for the longish post today, but I also got some photos from the exhibition now !!! They still have to hang up our write-up (and photo) on the boards...  but everyone's displays are done now. 

There are amazing items on display, jewelery, cross stitch, sculptures, model cars.... I'll get some photos of the other stands tomorrow as well.

The inauguration has been moved to tomorrow afternoon now, so expect more photos tomorrow :)))
