Some photos and news

Ooops I seem to have been a bit of a bad blogger last week... yes .. only posted twice! Been a bit busy.. lots of kids' stuff, and then I have also been fixing up my craft room for when Sandra comes over next week. I have such a mess ... lots and lots of scraps ... the reason why I have never put a pic of my room before he he, but promise I will sometime  :)

I thought I would share some photos today since I don't have a card ...

This is a photo I took on Saturday of a concert we went to with some friends. Everyone involved works voluntary and all proceeds go to charity.

Have a peep at the video to see the atmosphere.. fantastic!! .. but not the sound of my video though.... he he not so good, sorry.

Afterwards we went for some drinks and then the following day I slept till 11.00am !!!! Woops ....

And here now are some photos which I took on Sunday afternoon when we were out for a walk.

Kids really enjoy these off-road walks.

And now these are photos of the Mosta Dome where we went for mass straight afterward. The Mosta Dome is the third largest in the world...

I also got me some news today.Woot wooot... two Tops last week... at Tuesday Throwdown with my Wedding Card and at Gem of A Challenge with my card using Tia Kitten .... yipppeee !!!


I'm off now to prepare some dinner.. yikes it's already 7.30pm ...

Wedding

So here I am back again, with a wedding card this time... actually two!! I was really busy so I ended up using the same image and sketch, but I couldn't do them exactly the same... could I... I really hate that... no fun at all!

The stamp I used is from Lili of the Valley, which I coloured with my promarkers, adding also some white with my gel pen to her dress and for this one, I used a gorgeous paper freebie from the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine, two of my Martha Stewart punches, some organza ribbon and also some flowers, pearls and swirls. To do the swirls I used my Inkadinkadoo clear stamps.

This is my second card. Not sure which I prefer... A simpler one this time. For this one I did some embossing, used three of my Martha Stewart punches and again some organza ribbon for the bow. Hope you like it.

Halloween

Did you pop by One Stitch At A Time Challenge yesterday and played the game with us? If you did you would have also seen that the theme for today challenge is ... yes, HALLOWEEN !!! Still some time for that, but I'm already thinking of what to wear for a party I'll be going, he he :) ... I love parties where I can let go and have fun!!! Did you see the photos from my party last year ????

This is my card for today... my FIRST Halloween Card ...

For my card today I used Happy Halloween Pumpkin from Hope Jacare, which I coloured with my promarkers and for my papers today I decided to make my own. To do that I used my Inkadinkadoo Clear Stamps and stamped various circles with black, red and and green ink and also some stars randomly with another stamp. I also smudged around the paper and drawn some black lines ... I had so much fun doing this and really loved how it turned out.

For the border I used my Cuttlebug circles embossing folder and then cut the edges with a fancy cut scissors. The bats I cut those myself as I didn't have anything halloweeny in my stash, and these I stuck to some acetate so they are really popped out and look as if they are really flying he he :0

A Baby Card

I was really excited today, as today I was meeting my friend from Australia, Sandra who is at the moment on holiday here in Malta with her family!

We got to know each other last year through internet, after I saw one of her cards and asked her about the embellishment on her card. She kindly offered to send me, and then after I mentioned that I was from Malta, she told me that her parents were also Maltese!!! What a small world :) And what a coincidence too, I was going on holiday to Australia that year too... we JUST had to meet! Now we will be meeting again at my place for a day of crafting he he ... I CAN'T WAIT !

 

And now here is my card for today ... a baby card.

For this card I used Karen's Peek-A-Boo Boy, which I coloured with my promarkers, some beautiful, glittered baby papers from DCWV, and followed this lovely sketch.

Picture Perfect

Wow, can't believe its already Friday!! ... must be because I was really busy this week... kids started school again on Monday and I also had some ordered cards as well to finish off......

... this is one of them... I thought it really fit the challenge at Lexi's Creations, which this week is PICTURE PERFECT.

 

I don't normally do these type of cards, I prefer to stamp and colour but then I really loved how it turned out. The flower, leaf and border punches are Martha Stewart, while the butterfly punch is from Do Crafts. The background paper is vellum and then I also used a Fiskars punch for the corners. Hope you like it.

I am also entering this card in the C.R.A.F.T. Challenge, which this week is FANCY FLORAL for my punched flowers and the background paper.
