Use A Number

It's already been a week since I posted anything here!!! Well it is that time of the year when the beach, bbqs, more family time and walks on the promenade call me and blogging and card-making have to take a back seat for a while unfortunately. It will soon be over however, one more month and I will be back blogging and making more cards again. .. but for now I just have my DT card for this week's new challenge at

The theme for this week is to

USE A NUMBER

For my card I got to use an image from one of our sponsors, Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps, the beach huts image. I then also added another image to my card, the sweet girl stamp which was a freebie in a magazine. The lovely paper was also a free gift in a magazine. I printed the sentiment.

I really love how it turned out, I think my mojo is coming back :)

Bugs

A long day at the office today unfortunately and then I had to go pick up my son which ended in an argument between the two of us, as he kept me waiting for over an hour!!! .. and now he said he doesn't want to talk to ME!!! ggrrr :( I'm fuming!!!

Anyway, just arrived home now and since it's Wednesday today it's time for a new challenge at

BUGS

Definitely not one of my best cards today.. .. and I couldn't find the right image to use as well but finally I found this cute image from Karen's Doodles that had bugs in it. I colored it with my promarkers, and then used two Marianne's Creatables dies. Some ribbon and gems to finish it off.

Summertime

Unfortunately I have neglected my blogging quite a bit lately and also even didn't manage to make a card last week.... all because it's Summertime! Hubby is on leave and so we just spend the days relaxing at the beach, napping and going for walks on the promenade in the evenings.... and of course crafting just takes the back seat for the time! I really hate this last part, but you really can't do otherwise with the beach out there calling!

Well it's Wednesday today and so I have this card for the new challenge at

I ♥ Promarkers

with the theme of

SUMMERTIME

Prepare yourself as I have quite a few photos for this card as I made it also for a friend who wanted to give his girlfriend a surprise.. so I couldn't say no!

He wanted a Summer themed card so I used my gorgeous mermaid image from Sweet November, which of course I colored with my ProMarkers. The papers on the front and on the inside below were free from a magazine.. Here he wrote his stuff..

The card however is like it has two cards in one.. as now here comes his surprise and taking her to Ibiza for her birthday!!! Me was so happy that I found the perfect papers for what he wanted. These are now from my Me and My Big Ideas Paperpack and I also used another image, this time from Sassy Studio. I can tell you he was really pleased with it .. as much as me :P

Steam Punk or Mechanical

Hi everyone. I'm so late with my DT Card today! It's so so hot here and makes me feel so tired, so straight after work today I just had a nap and then it was already time to prepare dinner and go for my Bokwa class!! Well, it's most days that I've been doing this recently :( it's too hot to do anything at all! Anyway, better get on to my DT card now which I did for the new challenge that started today at

The theme for this week is

STEAM PUNK or MECHANICAL

Not having ever done a steam punk themed card, and not being also my favourite theme, I of course opted for the mechanical theme.

The image that I used is from Fred She Said, which is another of the images that I had chose from my lucky win some time ago. This image immediately reminded me of my dad as he had a car just like this, but a different color... In fact I was going to color it the same color as his, but I wanted to use these nice car papers that I had, which I thought they were perfect to go with this image.

Christmas in July

Good morning everyone. It's so hot over here and I've just returned from taxi driving my son to work and then shopping... but aww I didn't find anything that I liked enough to buy :( It seems that I always buy even less when there are the sales on!!!

Well, maybe it's better this way.. ha ha I didn't need anything :P

Anyway, I have my DT Card now for the new challenge that started today at

The theme for this week is as you can see is

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

For my card this time I decided to use one of the images that lucky me I had won sometime ago from Fred She Said. I have of course coloured it with my promarkers and used my Tim Holtz distress inks to do the background.

No DP this time and instead used textured white core cardstock which I embossed and then sanded a bit. I've had these for quite some time but never got round to using them so I'm really pleased with myself today and I really enjoyed coloring these beautiful robins too.

Curious George
