Mother's Day

Hello everybody, finally I have a card this week and it's my DT Card for this week's challenge at Crafty Sentiments. The theme for this week is brought to us by the lovely Heather and she chose Mother's Day. Still some time for Mother's Day here in Malta, as it's celebrated in May here... about a week before or after my birthday.... but it's never too early to get them ready. 

For my card today I decided to use the sweet Vicky stamp, which I coloured with my promarkers, papers, ribbon, flowers from my stash, MS Border punch, my leaf branch die and of course some embossing with a new embossing folder ...

Yes, last time I had won a fantastic £10 Secret Crafter gift voucher from Bridget and sooooo I got me this lovely embossing folder, which by the way, is so much larger than the usual ones, and after adding some extra monies, got me another Nestabilities as well!!! woops ... couldn't help myself.. ........... 

The gorgeous sentiment is from Crafty Sentiments as well... and that's another new release this week.

Blog Awards and a Favourite

Hello girls, sorry was a bit away this week ... been having some of my unmojo time unfortunately, does it happen to you? I get it mostly when my OH starts complaining that I spend too much time in my craft room  : |    aaah so good to come back and find this really sweet blog award.. actually not one but two... one of which I was given by two lovely ladies.  

This is the first one, from my sweet blogger friend Tina...

and then the next award is also from Tina and from Cebelica as well. Thank you so much girls, I am truly honoured and flattered that you thought of me. 

As you know, there are some rules to follow with blog awards.... but I'm always at a loss to whom to forward them to, and since I don't want to miss anyone, I am just going to forward them to all my lovely followers who always come and say hello. Now I also have some exciting news, as today I just found out that this Card, my first Side Step Card, which I sooo loved making and am still so excited about... he he :)

was one of the cards featured at Flutter By Wednesdays this week.. 

Woo hoo .. I was wishing I'd make a Top 3 with it somewhere and now finally today woo hoo  :) just what I needed to feel better :)))

What will it be?

Hello just been around doing some inspirational and fun blog hopping... love this :)  wish I had more time... Sorry if I missed anyone, but will surely catch up some time soon.  While doing this I always find that when the commenting form is set up to pop-up its so much much easier.. and so quicker.. to leave comments.. I love it that I can still see the card while commenting and that you can scroll down to the next post and leave another comment with just a click of a button... hint hint... So how's yours set up? hint hint ... 

Anyways I got a card today with some more embossing ... this is a card that I made for a friend colleague where I work who will be having her first baby. The sweet stamp is from Fresh Brewed Designs. Very simple card...

I made the sentiment with my computer, punched teddy bears, die cut, magazine freebie paper and MS punch for the border and that's it!!

Stamp Fairy Friday

Hello everyone, it's time for another Stamp Fairy Friday release. We have Lily playing this week and for my DT card today I did a Side Step card for the very first time !!!!  

I've been admiring these cards so much, but always thinking they were too complicated, I never tried.. so when this week I saw Tina's gorgeous card with a great tutorial from Shelley's linked up, I just went for it and had a go myself.

aaaahhh wish I had one of those score boards to help me out with the folds ... !

Here is Lily close up, coloured with my promarkers and paper pieced dress and shoes. Papers from the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine. The grass is a freebie digi stamp from Shelley's images, which I printed on green card. Didn't realise what I was in for when I decided to cut them up, but well, loved the end result, so I think it was worth it.

Today I added some simple flower stickers, which I had for quite a long time... was really surprised they still stick..  and then added some darling die cut cats from Papermania... so cute...

and then Gerda's balloons freebie stamp for the final touch.

Couldn't help myself taking so many photos he he :) I am so pleased with it just like a little kid with his first toy woops ..

A little Mermaid

So I have yet again another card with embossing this week... I love this so much .. and seeing there are some fantastic embossing themed challenges around at the moment, I just had to join in and play along as well.

For my card today I am using two different embossing folders, one of which I did directly on the main card, don't think I ever did this before, and a stamp that I had won from Stempelijentje last month, so cute. 

I coloured my mermaid stamp with my promarkers and then popped her up on foam. The fish I stamped again and he is popped up twice with foam for a more 3D look.. love how it turned out..

Trees

It's still so quiet here today ...  :) Yesterday hubby was all day at the parish, cooking for a fundraiser pizza and pasta night which he and the volunteers organised for the church here, and today he and our little boy are still there, as it was combined with a sleep-over for the altar kids! So today it's just me and my older son here ... but he has decided to go join them for the rest of the day  ...... mmmm  love it   :) 

Anyways, today I have a Christmas card to show you and it is my DT card for the new Challenge at OSAAT. Our theme this week is ... FOR THE BOYS. 

I got to play with this beautiful Trees stamp from Gingerloft to do my card and seeing its a male theme, I kept my card quite simple, adding embossing which I love so so so much, and a simple peel-off sentiment, which I coloured black with my promarkers... So another Christmas card ready.. . yay   :)

Stamp Fairy Friday

I'm so pleased with my card today, just looove Gerda's new cute Betsy cow for this week's release .... so fun .. 

For my card today I coloured my stamp with my promarkers, used again my black and white digi papers from the Cutting Cafe ... they seemed to be just the right papers ... and then punched some simple black flowers, added a lovely pink ribbon

and then added three pink buttons for the final touch.  Surprised ?? .. I mean for the buttons.. he he yes, not usual for me to add buttons, but today they seemed to just fall in place and I really liked them on my card!!! 

I did the sentiment myself today on a Word Document, using two different fonts, hope you like it, and here are the other Betsies in the set with the usual Friday freebie as well...

Bobby at Crafty Sentiments

So I got a quick post today.. for now.. might come back with a card, but not sure yet... anyways.. just wanted to tell you about the special mini digi pack that Crafty Sentiments will be offering at a reduced price every month. This will consist of images, sentiments and papers as well..

Goodies in my Mail

The weather is horrible today.. raining and windy... errrmmmm... it's such a perfect crafty day, don't you think! I did make a card but definitely am not taking it out in the rain to take a photo... so thought I would show you instead what the postman brought me this week :))

First are these gorgeous die cuts from Chrissy woo hoo :) We did a goody bag swap after I asked if anyone wanted some of my leaf die cuts, and mine arrived yesterday. Was so excited when it arrived and I already used one of them. Thank you Chrissy, you are so generous. I really hope you like what I sent you as much as I liked yours xx

Next is this awesome goody bag from the girls at Quick Cards magazine. 

This was for appearing in this month's magazine and was a total big happy surprise as I didn't know there would be a prize behind that. Wow I was so excited.. there are some stickers, peel-offs, clear stamp set, a brass stencil AND papers!!!! Woo hoo I love love that.... thank you girls :)

And this now is a lovely stamp candy which I won from Stempelientje .. woo hoo o so sweet, can't wait to make something with her. Thank you Stempelientje xxx

Stamp Fairy Friday

Hello girls, good afternoon. It's time for another Stamp Fairy Friday release and this time we have yet again the cute Clementine with some Easter fun stamps. 

To do my card today I just had to use again my new stuff, the swirly embossing folder and the die cut flowers ... can't keep them off my hands, so pleased with my purchase. The paper is from my stash and I then added a ribbon to finish it off. Hope you like it.

Ribbon

Really Reasonable Ribbon are having a super organisation theme week 'til the 16th of March, with a chance to win some great prizes. They are also asking us to share our ribbon organisation method with them.... 

Here is my ribbon.. all stored in two small cardboard boxes. The ones that are in rolls together in one box ...

and then the ones that I buy by the metre sorted by colors and stored in plastic bags.  

Today they are all neatly in their boxes for the photo... you definitely don't want to see how they are on a crafty day !!!!

Quick Cards Magazine

Just returned from the card-making lesson I give out to some kids here and today had the pleasure of hearing one of the kids saying how much she likes coming   :) Was so pleased with that! 

Don't have a card today, but I thought I would make a quick post about something exciting. It's about this month's Quick Cards magazine and I'm one of the girls featured in one of this month's articles  :))  woo hoo so exciting! 

I had forgotten how exciting it was to be in a magazine. I love magazines, and last month hadn't realised my subscription was due ...wooops... and since there was a gorgeous 6x6 paper pack as a freebie, just couldn't miss that! Luckily the stationery had the last one, of course I got it much more expensive this way! Well, now I have to wait for this month's to arrive here in Malta as still haven't renewed my subscription, I spent way tooo much on craft stuff lately, and have to hold on a  bit!!!

Better go now, still got dinner to fix and ermmm some DT Cards as well!

A Sleeping Baby

Hello good morning everyone. It's a lovely bright sunny day here in Malta, a bit windy, but still nice. We're going to the Carnival in Valletta today, so really hope the weather stays like this.

I have my DT Card today for this weeks Challenge at One Stitch At A Time and this week the challenge is to add a charm to your project. ... nice and easy, and me too so loved the challenge as I got to choose from one of Sylvie's gorgeous stamps and so quickly I chose this beautiful Sleeping Baby.

I kept my card quite simple today, just like babies.... The beautiful digi paper is from the Baby Boy set at Stamp Fairy, border punch MS, butterflies Do Crafts and of course my Nestabilities. 

I got the charm from Michael's, which is one of the goodies I had bought when I was on holiday in USA.
