For my brother

It's one of my brother's birthday tomorrow and this is the card I made for him this morning!!! ermmm ..yes I'm late .. it's not that I forgot, but I find these cards so difficult to do and didn't know what to do. ... not that I can get away with doing these cards, three men at home, two brothers and one dad........ 

So anyways, finally I decided to use this sweet stamp, which I coloured with my promarkers and it was a freebie in the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine.... got out these papers, after I was inspired by a stripes and polka dots themed challenge, and done it! 

The striped paper is from Papermania and the dotted one is from The Cutting Cafe'. I cut the stars with my new DieNamics die... and it's one of the goodies I bought ... am having so much fun experimenting with :)) Hope you like my card and perhaps have inspired you myself now  :)

Stamp Fairy Friday

Hello, Happy Friday everyone.. did you see THE Wedding? Were you there?? How exciting!!  boo I was at work   :(  ......... I thought I would be able to have some sneak peeks from some colleagues' PCs that have internet access but no...  everything was blocked .. thumbs down .. .. so you can imagine how I flew home to have a look ... so exciting, not something that happens every day .. .. She was beautiful, so pretty and gorgeous dress, loved it.

I have my Stamp Fairy Friday card to show you today. Gerda has released some Funny Princess images in occasion of this day... so cute... and the sentiment is the freebie for this week.

This is what I did at first... can't say I am so pleased with how my card turned out .. my mojo was somewhere I don't know where...

First I tried making a blue red white card, BUT I really wanted to use my new leaf die that I bought .. so I had to forget this colour combo if I wanted grass on my card... in fact it's the top part of my card that I didn't like that much .... 

and I say I didn't.. because well today looking at it again I decided that I just had to do something about it! So as soon as I saw some of the wedding highlights I printed off this gorgeous clouds paper and I think it looks so much better.. what do you think?

The clouds and the castle are both freebies I found on the internet while trying to do my card.. I thought the castle was just perfect for my card.. you can get them from here. I punched the flowers with my MS punch, the grass with my DieNamics die and butterflies with my XCut punch.

A Wedding Card

So I have another Wedding Card this week .. but isn't everyone so inspired by the Wedding of the Century.. we sure are at the Crafty Sentiments 'cos it's the theme for this week's challenge.. 

For my card today I decided to use some gorgeous digi papers from the Love and Romance set and in fact I used three different ones .. I think they are so elegant. I printed the sentiment on the computer, and then highlighted it with my promarkers and my glitter pen to give it more depth.

The punches I used are from Martha Stewart punches, and again I cut off the petals from my waterlily punch, and some stitching, ivory elegant flowers and pearls for the final touch. ..

I added more glitter all around the layers, and the ribbon are so shiny as well... didn't manage to get the sparkle show, but if you click on the image above you will see it. I followed this sketch today, thank you for this sketch, it's really lovely to work with.

My First Circle Easel Card

So I am back with my second post for the day....  waa hoo .. I am so excited with my card today.. I am finally doing a circle easel card .. took me hours and hours to do this.. but at least I am really pleased with how it turned out. ... ..... ...  

I know it doesn't look like it is an hours and hours long card, but I really took so long to decide on how to do it and I also did lots of distressing and background stamping to try to give my card that vintage look, something which I rarely do ..

This is the inside of the card. I did the 'Mr & Mrs' with my Forever Friends 'Going to The Chapel' Clear Stamp Set and the background stamping with another clear stamp set from Papermania .

To do the outer circle I used my Fiskars Circle Punch. .. flowers are from my stash.. and then I added some gold ring peel-offs for the final touch. 

Added a doily on my card today.. first time as well using doilies .. and the sweet stamp is from Stamp Fairy, which I coloured with my promarkers.

I had so fun making this card, I definitely have to try more of these..

Woo hoo I am so excited today .. I really have to show you what my postie delivered .... I am all smiles...

.. so these are some goodies which I purchased .... They arrived today while hubby was home and he very curiously opened the parcel for me ... aaahhh I wasn't even going to tell .........

.. lucky me he didn't say anything ... mmm maybe because he doesn't know how much I spent .. aahhh my little purse ...

This fun 'All About You' stamp set from All That Scraps was also delivered this week.. Woo hoo I won this ... Thank you girls I can't wait to have a go with it.

Cherrie With Rose

I said yesterday I wanted to try more black hair colouring and so here I am again with mooooore black hair.....

This time I hopped over to the Promarkers Workshop to get some tips and so used my black penn less and also my blender pen less. Didn't have all the shades of grey I needed and so used some ivory and lavender instead  .... mmmm I think I will be doing more black hair in the future ............

For my card today I used my Cherrie With Rose stamp from Tickled Pink Stamps, which of course I coloured with my promarkers, some embossing and the very nice 'Mom' paper die cut is from my blogger friend Chrissy... thank you Chrissy, just what my card needed.

A very simple card today, but then I do love to draw focus on the image.

Sweet and Pink

.. and pearls and swirls, embossing and black hair ... are some of the challenge themes which I followed to help me make this card.. ... 

... I'm sure it would have turned out totally different if I didn't follow challenges ... For first thing I wouldn't have done black hair ha ha .... yes today I am trying my hand at colouring black hair!!!  

I've been trying this, but never get it right, so when this week I came across a challenge to colour black hair... I just decided to have another go. ...  still not really that pleased with how mine turned out though... so I am definitely trying again....... perhaps I need more grey shades of promarkers....... 

The stamp that I am using today is the sweet Kaya with Flowers from Pink Gem Designs.. coloured her with my promarkers, papers were a freebie in the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine .. and the flowers I got those when I was on holiday in Australia... so happy I still hadn't used them.

I popped them up on some foam over my Marianne leaf die  cut .. really loved how they turned out.

Happy Easter

Hello, hope you are having a wonderful Easter with your family and friends. This morning, before going to mass, I really felt like doing one last Easter card with my Bildmalarna stamp, which I had last time stamped and coloured and not used up .. and so here I am... this is what I did.

Quite a different card than the ones I usually do, because I'm not using any DPs this time. The stamps I used for the background are all from Quick Cards and Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine freebies, while the butterflies ones are clear stamps from Pergamano. Had totally forgot about them and how beautiful they are.

Coloured everything with my promarkers. 

The sweet bunny border is a freebie paper from the Papercraft Inspirations magazine. I popped it up with foam, like I did for my Bilmalarna stamp and the butterflies.

A Wedding Card

Seeing some Wedding themed challenges around at the moment and seeing the new wedding images at Stamp Fairy I was really inspired to make something to play along.

Had so much fun making this card.. The papers that I used were a freebie in the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine and I also stamped some little flowers with black ink on them as well. The punches are Martha Stewart and the little pink flowers were a gift from my blogger friend Kelly. 

Today I printed off my stamp twice, coloured both with my promarkers, and then cut out the windows, and wheels from one of them. This one I then popped up on the other with foam. Loved how it turned out.

Photos and lots more..

I wasn't planning on another post today .. but here I am... and you need a cuppa with this post though as its a longish one... lots to share ... ... 

So first I got some photos.... This is me and Maurizio this morning.. he is on holiday with his mum from Italy. Me and my sister got to know him through internet and so this morning we met them and spent some nice time with them.

We first went to Sta Lucia to visit a Chinese Garden. It's a very small garden, but very nice and very well kept.

Thats his mother. 

After that we went to Marsascala. Wasn't a very nice day unfortunately.. not sunny at all.. but it's always like this on Good Friday! 

My brother lives in Marsascala ...

 and so we also popped at his lovely place for coffee ha ha  :)

Very nice day, really enjoyed it....  Now look at this gorgeous card I received this week from my lovely blogger friend Corry ... what a surprise and how nice nice nice of her to think of me. Thank you Corry so so much..  loved it xxx ... She must have known of the boo boo I had this week  :(  'cos the card arrived just the next day that I broke one of my MS punches ........... aaaahhhhh !!!!  Did that ever happen to you?  Well now I wrote to them ... hoping that errmmm something can be fixed.. who knows!! Fingers crossed. 

Some goodies now... definitely a long post ..... .... I know I did tell you about the lovely candy I had won last time from Bridget but I didn't realise I never showed you the goodies.... he he I must have been so excited .. there were a nice stamp set of The Snowman, promarkers, 10 sheets of 216gsm solar White Neenah Cards, a £10 gift voucher from The Secret Crafter and also self adhesive Laura Ashley ribbon...  woo hoo thank you again Bridget... you had made a one happy girl :)

Stamp Fairy Friday

Can't believe it's already Friday  .. sure time flies when you are enjoying yourself :) Did I tell you I was on vacation leave this week and was errmm crafting most of the time he he... but that is because my son is studying for his 'O' Levels and so couldn't go out much.. of course .. he needed some breaks as well, so met up with friends for a picnic and went out for some walks and of course the usual housework, little errands... loved it..  Just the weekend left now, and it's back to work on Tuesday... he he must have more of these days  .........

Anyways.. today it's Friday and that means it's time for another Stamp Fairy Friday release.. We have this adorable Muffin Angel today, whom I coloured with my promarkers... I think he is so cute, love that look on his face. 

The beautiful papers are from Crafty Sentiments and the sentiment is the Stamp Fairy Friday Freebie for this week.

Quite a simple card, but loved how it turned out .. especially also that today again I'm using some ribbon that I've had for quite a long time just because I don't want to use it and want to KEEP it for myself  ha ha :) .. .. can't remember from where I got it!
